Greetings Fellow Bahamians,
I moderate a Bahamian genealogy group at Yahoogroups.com that is over 200 members strong. We began in 1998 and the group has grown by leaps and bounds. For some reason that is very perplexing to me most of my members are either from Eleuthera or Abaco. Haven't a clue why but individuals from these two Islands show the most interest. My family hails from Long Island and only two or three members at most are interested in the surnames that I am familiar with, such as Pratt, Glinton, Deal, Adderley, Wilson, Simms...... Well you get the picture. I must add that just about every member is somehow connected to the Knowles family. Apparently there are more of them than stars in the sky.
I hereby extend an invitation to any and all of you to join us in our quest to learn as much as possible about our roots.
Regards,
Yolanda Deal Rotondo
