I would like to include my printer in the wireless network I have set up in my house.
Am I able to do this using the same router I use for the internet?
I have a Linksys router and an HP Deskjet 37.. printer. I am not sure where to start...in the meantime I am looking for the printer manual and the linksys manual...don't feel like sitting in front of the computer to do a search!

If your deskjet printer is in the 37xx series, that particular line does not have integrated wireless connectivity like some of the more recent series...as far as I've seen from the HP website. What is the exact model number so that I can check more thoroughly?
Regardless, there is hope in making ANY usb printer a wireless one if you buy a wireless usb print server. They retail at Best Buy in the US for around $99. Lignum Computer City doesn't have any in stock at the moment, but if you want to order direct, here is the link:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8212819&st=wireless+printe+server&type=product&id=1166236105907
Locally you can try Megabyte, Custom Computers, ElectroJack, DC tech and CyberJack...(in that order)
YorickBrown 04-23-08, - 11:03 PM I sure Yorick answered your question and I would also like to know if there is anyway you (Brown Suga, Yorick) or anyone else can tell me if there is a way that if you create your website and post pictures on it, is there a way to not allow anyone else to copy and paste it?
Impossible. As long as it is viewable on the screen, it can be copied. You can disable right clicking, embed it in flash or perform a myriad of other anti-copying procedures, but the reality is that once an image is on the web, we can copy it...in one form or another.
YorickBrown 04-23-08, - 11:19 PM The reason why I asked is because I remember one email I recieved when it had some amazing pics, I tink it had to do with National Geographic when there was one pic in particular I wanted to copy and paste but for some reason I was unable to, It was a pic of I think either a Marine or a Coast Guard Officer hanging on a ladder from a helicopter in rough seas and a Huge Great White Shark jumped out of the water and was seconds away from you know what????
I was always sucessfull in copying and pasting any other pictures on any website or email but for some reason I could not copy that one????:dgi:
You mean this one, right?

YorickBrown 04-24-08, - 07:49 AM HP 3745.
Let me know...thanx...I'm no investing on another piece of equipment..i will just have to plug in everytime I need to print! The Deskjet 3745 only has a USB interface.
Well, since you're not investing in more hardware, then make sure the next time you are in the market for a printer, go with the HP DeskJet 6988 (or something comparable).
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8676783&st=deskjet+6980&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1197678064403
In the US it retails for 129, but here we sell them for about $225 (and they fly off the shelves).
The 6988 is a USB printer that can be connected directly to a wired or wireless network. The printing specs are not too bad either.

Yep....$129 not bad, I may order one and have it shipped! Why the huge mark up on them here?
Thanx a million for your help and suggestions!

If you have a wireless network you should be able to print from any pc once the printer is plug into one.

Very true. That is, assuming she has more than one PC.
In that instance one would have to enable network sharing between all PC's connected to the network, share the printer on the one its is directly connected to and then ensure that the PC which has the shared printer is on every time she goes to print from another PC
The solutions I offered eliminate the need for a dedicated "sharing" pc altogether. Direct wireless connectivity.

Only one PC in my house....this is just for my pleasure, nt business oriented or anything!
Thx for the insight!
benjamieson 04-24-08, - 11:32 AM Yep....$129 not bad
You could get one of these for $55 and plug your existing printer into its USB port.
