It is a horrible horrible pun. For a hundred and fifty years, English teachers have been telling children that a very difficult tongue twister is:

She sells sea shells by the sea shore.

Try saying it 10 times really fast.

Batteries are known as cells. They come in different sizes. The biggest are D cells. Then you have C cells, then AA and then AAA cells. C cells are compact D cells and used a lot in boom boxes etc.

Hence the girl sells C cells by the seashore -- voila the pun.

The original of "She sells seashells by the seashore" is based in history upon an English woman named Mary Anning who had an amazing and interesting, and sometimes a real bummer life.

I got the cell part and Im aware of the tongue twister...I just think it was humorous :sarcastic:Heehee!
