"Environmental activist Sam Duncombe is expressing "delight" over recent comments by United States Ambassador Ned Siegel regarding the environment.
Siegel recently said that "protecting the environment does not stop at the ocean's edge. We need to find new, clean, energy efficient technologies, but more importantly, we have to find renewable energy resources."
Duncombe said Siegel's comments are particularly significant, given that a proposal by an American company to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) re-gasification terminal at Ocean Cay, Bimini, "continues to hang over The Bahamas like a pall.".....
