Jeff Lloyd and 94.9 had a town meeting on the topic, "Should the numbers game be legalized??" and Bishop Humes presented the view of the church.
He said no to legalizing the numbers game but all through but at the end he said that that was the church's view but the govt can do what it wants to do because the people put them there to make decisions. Then he said, " I love you primeminister".....
While I share the same view that he expressed as far as the govt being able to do what they want but as the president of the BCC he should not have said that.....
The man talked a lot of nonesense and after having a conversation with him after the event, I found out that he was quite clueless about the issues facing the BAhamas!!
He was an accident waiting to happen!!

Yea about the gambling. I wanted to say that he was obviously playing "soft ball" on the matter. That's the kicker I feel. You can't toy with religion in this town like that.....he had me turned off with his views on Capital Punishment from the get go. It's not the fact that he may have been pro-FNM in some eyes, in fact, Myles Munroe believes in Capital Punishment and he is a PLP and I simply do not agree with either of them. Its the perception that he was whoring out the church to me- we have gone down peg after peg. We had bad guys as BCC leaders, but this one was too blatantly political.

Not that its any of our business how he votes, but precisely because its none of our business and none of the business of the church to promote a political ideology- inferred or direct!

He should be ashamed to be labled with such nonsense. Hope he gets his name back.
