View Full Version : PLP Corruption!!!/All da dirt coming out!!!
pharoah 05-06-08, - 12:53 PM If you check the record, you would find out that both parties have done this over the years!! There is no surprise there!! The only surprise is the fact that the PLP is challenging someone that they flew in...I thought that they would have learned from Allyson's case.....
I also know that the former independent MP for South Andros flew many people into Mangrove Cay to vote in 2002 and 2007!!!
Why are you surprised about this known fact and where have you been living???
Correct! There is nothing illegal or wrong about paying someone's ticket to vote. The onus is on the person who is voting to be honest. However in this case the PLP didn't do their home work--they are actually contesting possibly their own voter. Ouch!!!
creature 05-06-08, - 02:08 PM Ask Watsayu how many planes the FNM chartered to bring fisherman home to vote in 1997!
watsayu 05-06-08, - 02:13 PM Ask Watsayu how many planes the FNM chartered to bring fisherman home to vote in 1997!Honestly, in 1997, we had about 20 charter flights day of election and even more the day before election.. I mean we had fisherman in and out... I think we won Noth Eleuthera by about 900 votes in 1997.. I tell you the truth...
Ask Watsayu how many planes the FNM chartered to bring fisherman home to vote in 1997!
Whats your point?!!!?

nationbuilder 05-06-08, - 03:08 PM You really believe he knows of what he's talking about a quarter of the time?
lol
Objective thought 05-06-08, - 03:31 PM Doesn't it have to do with your permanent residence in the Bahamas? Like a student, you can be out of country for a few years...but, that does not mean that your permanent home in the Bahamas, makes you not eligible to vote.
The question should be, for me at least, is if whether or not this guy was working in the TCI and is a citizen of the Bahamas.
I would hate to have to think, that I, would leave this country, knowing I am a citizen and have to be forced to sit out an election, because of that- even though my homestead, has not changed ever.
But, maybe this is the controversy of it all!?!?!
Actually citizens who live outside of this country have to be here for 3-6 months prior to the election to be able to cast a legal ballot in an election...Students are able to fly in on election day and vote in the area/constituiency where they lived prior to going off to school!!!

By the evidence the voter gave in court, I have concluded that he voted FNM....He wasted no time in outing Plesant and her team!!! He would have said what he said in a better way if he had supported the PLP.....IMO!!!

creature 05-06-08, - 09:11 PM Whats your point?!!!?
My point is simple both parties do this, and have always done it, he gives the impression that only the PLP do it.
Objective thought 05-06-08, - 09:18 PM Yeah but she still bring him home!
In Allyson's case yall didn't care about the crookedness that went on...All yall cared about were the votes that were in danger of being taken out or left in....so why do you care about who brought him in now???
The fact (IMO) is that when his vote is taken out, that will be one less for the FNM!!! Don't blame me, I am only taking on the roll that most of you FNMs took on during Allyson's case...unless yall don't like your own ideas!!!
