Or is he a what you see is what you get politician? I wonder what his motives are, because at every opportunity he invokes Lynden Pindling's name as though he were Lord and Saviour. Is this a part of his master plan to ingratiate himself with the die-hard PLP base?

I listened to obie wilchcombe today on the talk show. He is an eloquent speaker. But like you said every other sentence was about LOP.He said he is not ashameed that LOP was his political mentor. But i feel that Obie is a potentially good leader if he can step away from the old PLP.Matter of fact da new PLP een impressive either. Yes during the 70's the Plp was the party for the people.But during the 80's and early 90's up until the time they were voted out, something went wrong. Obie will not appeal to the younger generations who want to see change. Yes it is good to talk about our history, but we want to know what tangible plans that he would have if he were to be leader of the PLP and maybe just maybe one day Prime Minister.

I agree with this.

Obie invokes LOP for the same reasons some Republicans invoke Ronald Reagan. Both parties are at significant and fundamental crossroads, some want to invoke historical successes to relate to success, others want to invoke a changing idealogy and platform. My vote is on the later, my commitment is to the later.

I personally don't TRUST him!!! He is no different from HI!!!

I believe that Obie and Rigby were responsible for feeding the PUNCH and the TRIBUNE information from inside the PLP during the election and even to this day!!!

He will never get my support to be deputy leader or any other type of leader in the PLP!!

Every time Obie mentions LOP, I think that he is trying to insult PC by saying that he is a leader after the order of LOP and not PC!!!

He might have something there if he wants to be leader because the 2 PMs that we have had so far have been proteges of LOP!!!
