I understand the fear that you all have about Haitians trying to take over the Bahamas. But if you all sit down and think about this situation you'll find out that it is not true. The way Some of you treat them, if they wanted to take over the Bahamas that would have happen a long time ago. Every night before I go to bed I ask God to help everyone in the world to get along.Because when you look at it we're all one in Christ Jesus. Jesus died for us all so that we might have a better life. When God comes he's not going to separate us by nationality for instance all Haitians go together ,all Americans go together, all Bahamians go together. EVERYONE WILL GO TOGETHER WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. God loves everyone,so I will continue to ask God to help me and others to forgive. Remarkably absurd that the US is mentioned as source of this affair by Y2something or other... the condemnation of America for not taking in Haitians , well then using that logic why doesn't the Bahamas just take these folks in?
Well the truth of the matter is that ANY nation that can not control/protect its borders will attract people who willingly break the law to enter and will then do anything to stay.. lie, cheat steal the very jobs of a countrys citizens simply by doing the same work for less, destroying years and years of hard fought gains in an instant... and you will find plenty of those in your midst who will try and blame YOU as the culprit!
We in America are reaching a point of fiscal no return and can not be responsible for everyone who comes to us, it is refreshing to look at The Bahamas and see a nation growing in strength and vision carving out a strong place for itself while providing an example of what a people can do to take control of their destiny....But I warn you, look at Americas crisis with illegal immigration and understand it is happening to you now. well when they came on their jet why didnt you ask them to take some of their kinfolk back with them. There is always exceptions to the rule, and these ones should be doing more to help the turmoil in their country than escapading in jets.

As the situation currently stands, some of the rich in Haiti do not wish the situation to get better. They stand to gain more in Haiti's times of turmoil and instability. You'll probably get a headache trying to figure that one out.

It has been touted in certain circles that some of the rich have even armed particular groups to promote more violence.
