I thought it was the Yoruba/Ibo sent to the Bahamas mostly?

Well i think that was only a section of persons in Bain/Grant's Town and Fox Hill as Cleveland Eneas stated in his book "Bain Town." But he did mention other africans, in the Big Pond Area, called them Congoes.

they were looked down on by the Yorubas, according to his book.

Remember the US did Jamaican in economically when Seaga got aid from Cuba and Russia...hence the devalued Jamaican dollar.....there are only two classes in Jamaica.
I have had teachers that were only here for the money! My aunt had a live in who left 7 children in Jamaica to come and be a nanny for 5 here just for the money. I could not understand that and that was more than 20 years ago!

But seriously Jamaica has three classes...its just that their middle class ratio is very small.
