If Perry Christie is still leader of the PLP, and the FNM's job approval rating is poor leading up to the 2012 election, does a third political party stand a chance of supplanting either of the 2 current leading parties as the new major opposition party in Bahamian politics?

What are your thoughts about:

1) Cassius Stewart - Bahamas Democratic Movement

OR

2) Dr. Dexter Johnson - Bahamas National Party

PC will not be the leader of the PLP.

Having said that, no a 3rd party will not have any viability in the Bahamas. The electorate isnt big enough, politically educated enough, and is far to loyal to their current parties. This has been reviewed, analyzed andd evaluated many many times, and I dont think it will ever happen.

What makes you so sure that PC will go, when no one has the courage to step up and call for his resignation?

EVEN if Parry is leader of the PLP NO third party can survive.. the two political partie has a secure base of about 35% of the Bahamian political on each side...

The balance usually go with the popular point of view at the time...

Who are the PLP parliamentarians who can realistically be considered for leadership, who have no MAJOR IMPEDIMENTS?

Who are the PLP parliamentarians who can realistically be considered for leadership, who have no MAJOR IMPEDIMENTS?IN MY view any one whom the PLP put forth can do a good job.. the parties mechinary would get behind then and they will have to fight like anyone else... it is always a 50/50 chance...

UNLIKE 2002, Tommy is ma boy.. but it was hard to (LOL)... :taped2:

Can't they be educated? And how do you keep supporting political parties that are incestuous groupies who lie about what they will do once in office, and who invariably defecate all over the electorate once they secure their mandate.

ANY ONE?! My Brother are you serious? You're telling me that the individula doesn't matter, only the party behind the individual?

It will happen in due time, and I agree with Cansfins previous post.

Until the PLP shows some real strength and comes up with a true leader, the are finished.

The FNM needs to find a true leader also for the 2012 election as HI can not go on forever. I thought it might be Carl Bethel, but recent media attention might hurt both him and Dions chances.

Tommy T will never follow in his dads footsteps as a leader.

Someone with clean records must be brought to the forefront.

Can anyone name one?

No one have any thoughts on either Cassius Stewart or Dexter Johnson? Are they considered wastes of time? Or is it that we dismiss the message if the messenger isn't PLP or FNM? If this is the case why should anyone believe that our politicians will ever listen to the Bahamian people, except for every 5 years?

You laugh, but do not give any reason for dismissing either of them. Are you a crony of either the PLP or FNM yourself? And no, I am neither Cassius Stewart nor Dr. Dexter Johnson.
