While no one is saying that religion doesn't have its place, some believers need to stop "wearing" their affiliation like a obnoxious set of massive gold chains.
The Church Of Mr T. in the Bahamas A-Team Tabernacle Household of I Pity the Fool Temple???
fasttract 05-12-08, - 05:01 PM Are we really living in the times of revelations?
The disaster in Myanmar and this morning eartquake in China coupled with the tornado's touching down constantly all over the southern and midwestern states, has me thinking are we here now?
I was watching a documentary on Dubi last night and on it they had a segment on biometrics and with that segment they discussed a chip that is OUT NOW in which its implanted under your skin and it holds all sorts of information about you. SOUND FAMILIAR.
the cars that drive themselves, the servant robots, vacums that vacum themsleves, the rude children. all of it is coming to pass.
Listen I will be the first to tell you that most of the people you have to take with a grain of salt and formulate your own opinions based on true soul searching and not based on what you were told while growing up becuase there are many contridiction in the bible.
However there are two books of the bible which are dead on and that proverbs and revelations.
I see toooooo many things discussed in those two books that hold true today and evidence of it is all around us.
i encourage everone with in an eye shot of this message to seek god, love your neighbour, give more than you take, live your life in the will of god cuase this aint no time to get it wrong.
Also I am pleased to announce that I have found a church where I belong, the church where god has been leading me.
I encourage you to look into their "Live like you were dying" series.

Hold true to what you believe,i agree with you but this is the beginning of sorrows.CONTINUE TO READ AND STUDY THE WORD.
WinterGrace 05-12-08, - 05:03 PM For some of us our end time may very well be tomorrow or next week. For others their end time has passed.
that's a very serious thought...what is man??? where his/her life is taken away in a flash, our lives are literally like a puff of smoke, a speck on the ground however, many believe they will live forever in good times because they making some change and have a little bit of good health but by next week things could change so fast.
WinterGrace 05-12-08, - 05:08 PM That's a false statement if I've ever heard one. The only people obsessed with the afterlife are the ones who actually adhere to that belief system. Also, it is cowardly to live life according to a belief system as a "just in case" measure. It is self-deception at best.
It is christians who continuously throw out warnings and threats of damnation, you know. The rest off the world would actually keep on living life without a care.
Need proof of what I am saying?
Just look at the any thread on this board that has anything to do with religion. Most times it is a christian who is chastising a non-christian and/or telling others that chrisitianity is the antidote to all evil in the world.
While no one is saying that religion doesn't have its place, some believers need to stop "wearing" their affiliation like a obnoxious set of massive gold chains.
Most Christians I know personally speak of hope, forgiveness and love in Christ.

But then why tempt fate?
It sure 'aint gonna do you no harm.
Christians have that escape clause you know!
1. wars have been around since from since man existed -"Yes, but not with the threat of nuclear fallout":sparky:
2. nations/kingdoms not liking other nations/kingdoms has occurred from the time man decided to form his own own nations/kingdoms - "Yes, but not with the capacity and desire to wipe each other off the face of the planet"
3. famines are nothing new - "With all the food we have we could feed the world...men shall be lovers of themselves"
4. pestilence is nothing new - "Yes, what we have are in fact new and sorry to say, more to come; and while we were able to handle POLIO and yellow fever; Aids and Cancer still killing without cure"
5. earthquakes are definitely nothing new as the tectonic plates are in a constant state of flux - "unless you have lived for a hundred years, you are regurgitating what's in the text book"
Nothing but pure negativity.
Maybe you should be, because...

Teniel 05-12-08, - 05:20 PM Though I am not a religious end-time brow beater, mankind is undoubtedly in the most destructive phase of our existence. We have invented nuclear weapons that can wipe out major cities and affect the health of unborn generations. The period of the black death that spread through Europe is now multiplied it seems ten fold with AIDS ravishing entire continents. Unfortunately most of the great technological and scientific advances we have made regarding ourselves and the universe, has mostly been used in our own self destruction and will prove pivotal in our ultimate decimation as a species. With all the knowledge and enlightment that man has accumulated, we have somehow as a collective lost our humanity. We are no more civil than the blood thirsty barbarians of the dark ages, we just hide it behind an shroud of diplomacy and fancy technology. These end times are no different than the end times of the past, just in the sheer magnitude of destruction that can be exacted on mankind.
