When I heard this I was like "Oh No"
This is how I see it.
What ever happened to "I got ya back friends"??????????
I mean I remember when I was in my 20's and went out I always had a "I got ya back friend" with me, so when ever we both knew we had enough, or maybe getting a lil loud (eventhough the music in the club drowned out our loudness) we packed up and left!!!
I remember one time someone pushed my friend (like pushed her out the way to pass w/o even saying excuse me) she went at her and I held her hand and was like "noooooooooooooo"
I wonder sometimes (doing alot of that lately) if the "young" folk had a better choice of friends would things be less violent?
Now a days it seems like the friends itch things on or contribute to their friends getting into a fight instead of "cooling" them off they help start the fire.
Anyway R.I.P

Now Chippie according to the papers the young man killed was trying to stop his peeps from fighting and he just got caught in the middle.. This whole situation has a massive knot in my stomach I mean I don't know the family but oh Jesus I feeling their pain... I have one child and god only knows how I would take getting this kind of news in reference to my baby..

I mean as I sit here I can only see the card that my 13 year made for me on the computer at school... It was so beautiful and on the inside it read "I love you mom and without you I cannot breathe"... Needless to say the tears just streamed uncontrollably down my face just like they are doing right now..

I read it, I was just basing my comment on past days, not this young man in particular.....I just wish friends would encourage their friends to walk away rather than putting fuel to the fire.

This poor young man, so young so much years ahead of him.

Oh ok... It is just too sad to even fathom... Our young people are just so angry and seem to have some point to prove... Then when u mix this with the alcohol that this generation is seemingly abusing... The end result is always the same.. another dead youth and another mother to morn...

Alcohol kills more male teenagers and young men than any other drug taken to affect mood and behavior (heroin, cocaine, marijuana). Despite this alcohol is a legal (for adults) and socially acceptable way of altering mood states - at least in western societies.

my heart is broken for the Davis family and most espically my friend Jamal (brother of the deceased) - they were very close...this is just terrible. Please all pray for them.

they're 2 totally different poisons, but please don't try to minimize the dangers of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana by comparing it with a more widely used "legal" drug - all drugs are bad! :hammer:

I want them throw out Boston.
Yes its clear now.

Nice try buddy, but anyway back to the subject, I feel that the Bail Act needs to be updated with the times because I can see the young man or men gettin out on bail already.

Baffling

more than likely, who does go on da beach with a knife anyway, unless they have planned on killin someone, those responsible should be sentenced to life in prison without parole and pay their debts to society REGARDLESS OF AGE, they have ruined an endless amount of family and friends of the victims lives.

My condolences go out to the family, this is too depressing man.

You know what. If Kerzner and RIU dem say dat ALL da locals need to stay over da hill, and not come over P.I. unless they working, can we get upset as a people?

Tings already tuff, and now we ga scare off da little tourist we have with all this violence around the place?

We look like we "killing the goose that lay the golden egg". We better step up our farming and fishin' game.

Good Point, we are literally killing the goose that lay the golden egg, but on the other hand you will have practically all Bahamians who would agree with you on paper but they would still not want Bahamians to be banned from P.I. so with that being the case, what can be done to prevent this incident from happening again?
