Apparently it happened right after I left the beach.....my friends and me were there till about 5 or so....don't know when exactly it happened.
But when I was on the beach lone people were drunk and high,.....we left because two groups of young fellas looked like they were gonna start some trouble.
And a side note, I watched in horror as a drunk jet ski operator missed hitting a woman and her baby by just a couple feet.
And I was ashamed as a Bahamian to see so much litter.
There is is!!! you hit the nail on the head. We are paying the head of the RBPF a hefty salary. We are paying the PM, Minister of NAtional Security as hefty salary and you mean to tell me all of them could not see this coming.?
Peopel this is a regular occurance on all our beaches on holidays. Freedom comes with a price. As much as we might hate it, to secure our freedom we might have to give up some of our rights ot get this foolishness under control.
Stop and search bags at the entrance. Arrest these idiots on the jet skis and charge them with operating a vehilce under the influence. Disorderly behavior cannot be the order of the day when families try to have a good time at the beach.
These hooligans are actually terrorists as they hold a whole beach hostage while they carry on like jack asses. And do not dare say something to any of them. But what are our leaders doing about it? Talking about seminars etc. Crack down on a long term and get this situation under control.
Mark my words, another holiday is upcoming and we will be having this same discussion.
