Both sides how? The bottom line is they took the job a what ever agreed upon salary and saw an opportunity to steal and did it... There is no excuse for stealing... If the employer stole something from them then they should go to the authorities... SMT... bottom line many Bahamians try to justify stealing because they have it in their minds that the "employers" owe it to them.. News flash the only thing the employers owes the employee is their friggen PAYCHECK... They need to make examples out of the stupid teefing individuals... We as the consumers will already bear the brunt of price increases because of the price of crude oil.. We do not need the stores lost because of teefing to be passed on to us too!!! LOCK DEY AZZ UP!!!:realmad:

I understand them being underpaid.... Alot of these employers are stealing from their employees by working them an extra hour every day which is suppose to be their lunch break. Instead of working them 8 hours & I hour for lunch , they are working 9 hours.

Thats it there, I can understand the cry of someone saying they are underpaid....unless he is referring to someone paid by the hour....!
Those construction workers do complain sometimes about being cut.........but I was told by an employer if they come to work on time and only take an hour for lunch then there is NO need to cut them.

When someone is in need of a job they sometimes take on more than they can chew (feeling me???)

Oh please... How many of these same people who are complaining come to work late, then take the first part of the morning to make tea... Then they go in th break room to eat their lunch... Then leave for an hour on their supposed lunch hour to pick up children from school... If an employer is working you more than the eight hours that the law stipulates and u have proof, then TAKE THEM TO THE LABOUR BOARD.. DO NOT STEAL FROM THEM!!! SMT... People just need to stop teefing point blank!!! Two wrongs don't make it right in any situation... If someone hits my car and keeps going does it give me the right to do the same thing to someone else? NO HELL NO!!! :hammer:
if u teef do not pass go do not collect $200 and go to jail go directly to jail

When someone is in need of a job they sometimes take on more than they can chew (feeling me???) BOTTOM LINE IS THIS, PAY YOUR STAFF WELL & THEY WOULD HAVE NO NEED TO STEAL. Alot of businesses don't know how to treat good employees.

if u teef do not pass go do not collect $200 and go to jail go directly to jail So what about when an employee stays behind & clean up, come into to work on their day off & do extra chores that are not stipulated in their job prescription?

UNDERSTOOD!!!!!!!!
FML seems to only hire young girls because someone like me would never agree to NO lunch break.
I hope this is only a starter for them until they find something better.
Im not disputing that this is wrong!!!!! Of course it is!
The Exotic One 05-13-08, - 11:23 AM Some of these merchants need to be lock up & charge befor the courts, because alot of times they'er over charging consummers & selling expired products.
Sweetie wake up we live on an island that imports 99% of what we need... So yes in everyone's opinion we are over charged for the goods that we consume... As a consumer make sure you do not buy out dated items, I do... SMT this still does not give anyone the right to steal... If you have concerns about the goods and services you are consuming then u always have the option to not buy them here and have them shipped in...
With the rise in the price of gasoline, does this give me the right to teef gas because of the price hell no!!!
Come with factual information and stop commenting soley on emotion...:hammer:
