The FNM has been in power for one year now, how do you think they are doing regarding their promises made in the FNM manifesto about the environment? There were 18 points and steps the FNM promised to take. Here is a link to the manifesto: http://www.freenationalmovement.org/...anifesto07.pdf RockWell 05-13-08, - 10:56 PM Back on topic please. SpamStopper too busy worrying bout the crime .. :D mangrove 05-14-08, - 01:20 AM Sorry hiphopanonymous but just have to write a reaction on posts about me :) It's morning here and your posts brought me a smile on my face :) Yeah, I am sure PM doesn't know even where Slovakia is but that is normal. Lots of people I met abroad have no clue. When I was in Bimini and talked to a Bimini district council member he thought that I am joking that I am from EU. Well, I am used to hear these reactions. As for the matter if he responses or not - When Mr. Christie was a PM, I used to write a letter like every month or so...but cause he was undoubtly supportive of Bimini Bay I didn't expect any reply. At least I managed to get some of these letters into newspaper. Believe or not, I got reply on one letter which I sent with about 700 signatures from my country but it was just a general letter which said: "Thank you for your interest in our environment. We want to asure you that the government is doing their best for the protection and sustainable (environmentally friendly) developments". Nothing that much and more people at that time got the same letter. Anyway I think that it doesn't matter if I am from SVK or no...letters are sent to PM also from the Bahamas and have anyone got a reply? Maybe I could get my letter published again. I'll see. I am closing this issue, let's back to the main reason of this thread. Hum...no I don't think so that their promises in the section Environment and Sustainable Development are being filled. In general, manifesto of politicical part is something what should attract people to give them a vote and support them. However, once they get a leader position, manifesto promises are forgotten. It happens quite often and almost everywhere. However, it's not fair towards people who voted the Part chiefly due to good manifesto promises. SpamStopper 05-14-08, - 02:18 AM its really warm and nice that you are so interested Mangrove, and others, but the fact remains if there are no Bahamians left then there wont be much point, and right now we getting slaughtered left and right. Crime is the most important thing right now. hiphopanonymous 05-14-08, - 09:58 AM I am closing this issue, let's back to the main reason of this thread. I am feeling let down by this FNM administration in regards to their action on fulfilling their promises about the environment and sustainability made in their manifesto. It was one of the reasons I voted FNM. mangrove 05-14-08, - 10:26 AM its really warm and nice that you are so interested Mangrove, and others, but the fact remains if there are no Bahamians left then there wont be much point, and right now we getting slaughtered left and right. It was one of the reasons I voted FNM. I know how you are feeling. It's a certain betrayal from FNM. I was really excited about the last year's election and kept my fingers crossed for FNM cause I saw a new hope for the Bahamas and your precious environment. All their promises and plans sounded so trustworthy...but the inactivity and the attitudes to some developments showed me the truth. I do hope that Mr. Ingraham will be so kind and find the time to write a reply. I am sure that lots of people would agree with my opinions and facts which I presented in the letter. I also believe that I can do more when I am on Bimini...hum and that is less than three weeks. |
