I went for my evening run on the beach and man..Bahamians are the nastiest creatures in the world, not to mention the disrespect for the environment. I run the sand on Goodmans Bay from the Goodman's Bay Centre to the jet ski ramp and all you can see are empy chicken boxes, beer bottles, paper plates etc.

The garbage bins have been emptied so why did the trash collectors not pick up this stuff - they just as nasty and careless!!

After the last holiday rather than running I ended up havinga clean up campaign....it's ridiculous!

It is so simple to carry your garbage bag to the beach and take your garbage with you or put it in the bins provided!

Dey does tote dey tables and tents so wh not a flippin garbage bag!

to be fair .. they got people like this everywhere .. they call them NASTY people .. not all Bahamians dirty like that as you have proven yourself .. just quite alot though .. mind if you see how they is keep they home then ... same thing.

disclaimer: been in many many homes on New Providence during service industry work over several years, many are nice and clean, but far more are just plain dirty. End up washing your hands with bleach afterwards just to get the left over grease from fried chicken and fish, which stains their walls, floor, and furniture from top to bottom, and sometimes mouse droppings or unknown handfulls of dead bugs, even bug spray ... off your hands, :hammer:

I have seen some [dirty homes] too!

But Spam...I have been to Europe several times and I am always in ATL, I love the outdoors so I go to parks and I have never seen litter like I have seen it on Bahamian beaches after holidays!

What gets me is the state of people's computers. I do some computer repairs for folks every now and again and it amazes me what you find when you take the cover off. That is real nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as the beaches are concerned. I agree with Suga, I cannot believe how much trash people leave at the beach. Went for a walk earlier today on our local "Bank Holiday" beach and it was covered in filth, used pampers, food wrappers, empty bottles were everywhere.

What gets me is the state of people's computers. I do some computer repairs for folks every now and again and it amazes me what you find when you take the cover off. That is real nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the islands worse in some ways. We have a dirt road in the back of us that goes from the main road through to the beach. It was originally put there for a development that never developed so there aren't any houses along it. We use it sometimes to get from by us out to the main road as a short cut to our local watering hole. Hubby and I drove it 2 weeks ago and remarked on the 3 bags of split open garbage we saw, where someone had dumped it. The next day, I walked along and picked it all up. Last week, we went that way again, there was now 8 lots of garbage spread along the road. People just as lazy over here as they are in town.

Yep been there done that ... rat droppings and all inside the computer .. LOL
