Are you talking about Hendrix Smith!

If so I doubt it as he was disbarred in the US and did not let the Bar Assoc here know - don't think he can ever practise in the US or Bahamas!

if you ask me, plenty of these people should be disbarred. giving attorneys a bad name.

there are over 900 attorneys on the Bar Association's list. they need to start downsizing. make room for some new blood :hammer:

What is the point of disbarring someone if a few months later that can be readmitted. In that case why not just suspend the person. Gee its a wonder our system of justice seems so dismal

I dont consider there to be any parallel between Justice Nottage's case and that of Mrs Munroe-Evans. Justice Nottage is a judge and formerly a lawyer that was merely accused of tax evasion and other assorted crimes by the US Government. If Mrs Munroe-Evans is applying to be readmitted to the Bar Rolls then it stands to reason that she has been tried and proven guilty of the charges against her and then struck off. The same is not true for Mme Justice Nottage therefore the presumption of innocence is what differentiates the two cases. Justice Nottage is innocent until proven guilty. Mrs Munroe-Evans was proven guilty. I dont believe Ortland Bodie's claim that he was not given a hearing. He's a lawyer. He has legal training. If he is so aggrieved he should have filed an application for judicial review or pursued the matter further. The fact that he didnt tells me that either it is simply untrue, or he waived his right to pursue further recourse.
~The rastaman vibration is positive.~

Bodie needs to repent, give those ppl back their money, fast and pray if he wants his hearing in this lifetime.
