Years ago before your time your partner was attending some of our meetings with his younger partner trying to become a member and certain facts came to light and truthhurts was/is the only person Banned from RAB and he is pissed.

Untrue...Years ago he came to one or two of your meetings for his partner's sake to get support for a specific situation that his PARTNER needed assistance with...as he mentioned to you and to this day still exist due to the nature of his employment rallying and picket signs were not going to work for him....he never expressed interest in becoming a member....never once...but beyond that you obviously don't have a clear understanding of the term "banned"....he was never a member so he could not and cannot be banned....(bearing in mind that the RAB consist of like 5 people...as I mentioned before...being a member of that social club is not exactly enticing for one's Resume'...

Your mentioning this so called "ban" serves no other purpose than to make you and your group seem superior...It is really pathetic and childish....your mention of this hold as much weight as me saying...

well it all depends and time will tell....we won't see for sure until cassy goes public...but I will suggest though that if it is the Community's support you all desire perhaps you should make them aware...that is without reading it in the newspaper one day...perhaps if she alerts the Community that she is going public it may encourage others to do the same...While I understand that her decision is private and personal if she wants to solicit support then she should form a bond with the "community"...gauge their thoughts and reactions and see what role they can play...

I also take it that this "coming out" will be a suprise as I have gotten no response from you or Cassy as to when she will go public...so I guess I'll be just as shocked as everyone else when she does...

Well we are not trying to be right out there by making it a public problem because its not the publics buisness its ours untill the noisey people of our nation try to intervain which of course they do but its ok..

The nature of your petition makes it open to public scrutiny and unfortunately public ridicule...or even perhaps acceptance...inadvertently the outcome of your "case" will affect the public at large...it would perhpas even change a culture (so to speak) in the Bahamas...Im not sure if in this instance it's a matter of people being nosey...

But we are doing it for us not to hurt anyone but to get treated like everyone else in the community of the Bahamas, by Law we are all supposed to be protected from violence and such and it never said that only persons of the same sex will be protected and persons of the opposite sex shouldn't be.

As for the "strange," why? Marriage is not just a simple union, if it were then I would have to submit that any two parties could commit to it. Marriage is a religious and societal norm that has requirements and from its initiation has been between a man and a woman, requiring a constitution of life and love. Even in the case of non-monogomous marriages, it has been exclusively to men and women.

As for being in the dark ages, I'm not. Apparently marriage is still a revolutionary idea, especially in the context of one man, one woman. It's interesting that people find it a crazy idea, and a dark one, that two people should want to come together to love one another and bring forth life. By the way... the dark ages weren't that dark my friend, and that's fact.
This case with marriage is like dealing with a child when caught stealing. You can try to redefine stealing to make it right for them, but wrong is still wrong and the act itself has something essential that makes it wrong. Marriage is the same way, it is what it is, you can try to redefine it, but that essentiality remains and is immutable.
Why don't we worry so much about a child's right to a father and mother? We have people doing enough damage this way by jumping from girl to girl and opening them legs from man to man. Why would we find another way to deny children that right?
Why not focus on people's right to education and a good one at that? Why not perhaps, on homosexuals actual right, to understanding and compassion?Why not focus on those who are actually denied their rights and the rights that they have truly been denied?

Good Afternoon My Brother/Sister Postmortem. I totally respect your comment but I am simply responding to clear up the misunderstanding you are experiencing from my previous post. I have not and will never bash anyone on this thread no matter who they are or based on their sexual orientation (since this is the topic of discussion).

My Brother/Sister, I work with Gays/Lesbians everyday on the job and some of them are friends of mine who know where I stand and I know where they stand with mutual respect for each other because we are all HUMAN, and I continue to talk to them everyday saying the exact same thing as I already posted on the previous page in a responsible and respectful manner along with doing exactly as you stated I should do and I quote:

My Point was simple, if you studied Human Biology or General Science in High School, it thoroughly details how the human reproduction system works. I have yet to see a man and a man or a woman and a woman reproduce. That has nothing to do with BASHING GAYS AS YOU STATED. That is fact.

I am confused about that because 1: You are also distracting those reading this from my most important point "SWEETHEARTING AND FORNICATION" which seems to be swept under the carpet and accepted as a norm in the Bahamas. 2: If you were to look at all of my posts on my home page, you or anyone else will see that I HAVE NEVER STATED THAT BASHING GAYS/LESBIANS IS THE SOLUTION IN MY EYES TO ANYTHING. The Bahamas has far more pressing issues to deal with:

Illegal Immigration, Gas Prices, Feeding Ourselves, Crime, Education, Health Care just to name a few.

Bashing Homosexuals/Lesbians is not going to change the fact that I am paying $5.36 a gallon for my car, or being robbed at gunpoint with the criminal being released the following day on bail to do it again so please, if you need me to copy and paste the anatomy of the Male or Female Body to show what I am talking about, I will gladly do so.

Again I am not being sarcastic or funny but I do type 40-50 words a minute and those word processing classes have really come in handy when it comes to the profession I am in, infact it took me about 4-5 minutes to type this FYI!!!
