Love your sense of humor. However, I'm sure that you must now be aware that the proponents of homosexual marriage ain't jokin'. No siree bob, they are as serious as death and all headed to an early grave, according to the Word of God.
silly one please look and see who reopened the thread...

Glad that you are up, so that you may have a read:
California will soon correct this insult to the wishes of the majority of families, caused by the obstruction of activist judges in their ruling to allow homosexual marriages, when they unanimously vote "YES" to Proposition 8 on November 04, 2008.
Perhaps its time for Bahamians to stand and prevent what remains of your group from causing any further deterioration to our already damaged moral fabric.
This press release issued yesterday explains further why marriages between Hindus, Jews, Christians, Native Americans, et al, will soon be restricted to 1 male and 1 female of any religious group in the state of California:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CALIFORNIANS RALLY TO DEFEND MARRIAGE:
Churches across State Host Simulcast Event to Arm Congregants
with ‘ABCs of Protecting Marriage’ to Share with CA Voters
LA MESA, Calif., Oct. 22, 2008 – An army of voters committed to defining marriage as between one man and one woman in the state of California was trained Sunday evening in the “ABCs of Protecting Marriage,” originating from Skyline Church near San Diego.
Hosted by Skyline pastor Jim Garlow, the ninety-minute rally was simulcast to nearly 200 more churches around the state, teaching those in attendance how to argue in defense of marriage as they interact with friends and family leading up to the Nov. 4 vote on Proposition 8.
“We are in a race to the finish line, and it is way too close to call,” Garlow said. “We need to be out there educating everyone we come into contact with about what’s at stake if same-sex marriage is allowed to stand in California.”
Garlow ran through the alphabet, letters A through J, using memory tools to aid the audience members in recalling important points about the arguments to support traditional marriage. “A is for Activist judges, who overturned the will of the people after 61 percent voted for traditional marriage in 2000,” he said. “It’s time to restore to the people that which was taken from them.”
A variety of special guests were invited to speak in support of the arguments, with Mat Staver of the Liberty Counsel featured in this first category. Staver served as the attorney who pled before the State Supreme Court that a majority of Californians did not support same-sex marriage.
Other guests included David and Tonia Parker from Massachusetts, who spoke about “C is for Children.” David was jailed for asking his kindergartner’s school to notify him when they would be teaching about homosexual marriage, so that he could remove his son from the classroom, rather than have him taught that same-sex marriage was equal to traditional marriage.
Speaking about “F is for Freedoms,” several other guests represented personal and religious freedoms that had been attacked since the advent of same-sex marriage: Pastor Ake Green from Sweden, who was sentenced to prison for preaching from the book of Romans about homosexuality; Bob Tyler, the attorney representing physicians from San Diego’s North County Women’s Medical Care Group who were convicted in a discriminatory lawsuit for refusing to inseminate a lesbian couple; Chuck Limandri, the attorney for California firefighters forced to march in a homosexual pride parade against their will; and photographers Jonathan and Elaine Huguenin of New Mexico, who were fined and are still in litigation for refusing to photograph a same-sex “commitment ceremony.”
“If same-sex marriage is allowed to stand in California, we will see these and many other instances where our personal and religious freedoms will come under attack,” Garlow said.
Under “H is for Homosexual Lifestyle Choices,” it was underscored that such a lifestyle is a choice and is something that a person can change. This argument calls into question those who would equate homosexuality with skin color and plead discrimination. One of the comments that got the most appreciation from the crowd was Pastor Shawn Mitchell of New Venture Christian Fellowship in Oceanside who, in speaking of former homosexuals in his church, said, “I don’t have any ex-black persons in my church.”

Question for you Vicky, and before I ask you this, please excuse me if someone already asked this question or if someone may have discussed this same question already on this or another thread as I may have overlooked it.

My question is this, while I am sure that out of all of the news stations in Florida we Bahamians have access to, FOX news seems to me to be thee most watched of all by Bahamians (based on homes or business I visit when the news is on) but I would like to know if the commercial with the Wayne and Helene (an elderly man and elderly woman) stating that their fellow citizens should vote no on prop 2 because it will prevent them from being together especially if one of them had to return to the hospital, does that commercial have anything or I should say, is that commercial's primary mission to encourage people to allow Homo-sexuals to have the right to marry and obtain the benefits that hetero-sexuals have?

Why I ask is because why would they use a man and a woman to promote people voting no against prop 2 if domestic partners are defined as persons who are of the same sex in a relationship or I should say Partnership. Why dont they come out and show exactly what their mission is rather than misleading people into believing that a hetero-sexual couple will be affected by persons voting no on a prop that will only affect homo-sexuals?

I guess the moral of my story is why would the persons pushing this commercial use a homo-sexual couple and state outright what their purpose is?

I just dont understand because my thing is this, if you have something to promote or say, do it outright and not try to mislead people with a hidden agenda because by attempting to swing people shows that the message being promoted is not what the majority of the people want to be affected by, infact, I would use myself as an example of one who came outright and ask a few basic questions without any hidden agendas/alterior motives with my recent "Human Biology" thread. How?

Despite the fact that other persons felt that:

1) I was picking on the members of B.I. that are homo-sexual knowing what the answers were along with the fact that how in the world would I know if any of you are infact Homo or Hetero-sexuals as you are the only person I am sure of being a Transgender based on your episode on Contro TV, I dont know who else is Homo or Heterosexual:confused:?

2) I had an alterior motive in asking you and the other names mentions those questions as I randomly chose the names based on previous conversations we had and just because I chose those names on my thread, it does not mean that they are Homo-sexual, they may also be heterosexuals who agree with the homosexual message so I hope that more than clears up any confusion FYI.

But back to the moral of the story.

I came straight up and asked what I had to ask, no hidden agenda/alterior motives as that thread is done and over with unless someone else decides to check it out and post on it. but again Vicky, why mislead people if that is their purpose?

While I would vote yes to Prop 2 if I had the opportunity to voice my opinion, I am asking you Vicky because again, no alterior motives or hidden agendas, I simply feel that you may be one who knows whats going on as I need clarifaction.....

is it in the public's interest to have:

large percentages of marriages that end in divorce
marriages that spiral into domestic/child abuse
false (pretend) marriages that occur all to often in the Bahamas

who decide's what's in the "public interest"... where does it start and where does it end?...

Ok let me ask you this, is it in the publics interest to have same sex marriages.......how will they reproduce besides adoption, surrogates etc......
this is a very unstable topic, i for one do not have all the answers, just facts.
I have nothing against homosexuals and their lifestyle......and i never discuss these natural facts with my gay friends, both male and female. If they can find a way to reproduce together without a third party involved then they can get married.
I would interpret public interest as wanting the Bahamas to produce the next generation. If we all were homosexual, in 100 yrs there would only be a couple Bahamians left.
Peace

Ok Based on that trend of thought couples who can't reproduce with out a thrid party should not be allowed to marry including heterosexuals. Oh and couples that don't intend to have kids should not be allowed to marry either.

A fact is 10% of humanity is homosexual and we come from heterosexuals...
