I want to put a personal one to you proud .if it had been your daughter or son would you go public with all the nasty gory details. you sit in your glass house and throw stones these are children not grown @ss folks .If you heard the pain in the voices of these parents then you would leave your political hat on the side lines for a minute these kids are hurting and aas for my nigerein freind if this had happened back in his home country the child wold have been stoned for bringing disrespect to his household, all i am asking is that had it been your daughter caught in the act of willing felacio would you want that broadcast throughout the bahamas would you forget about it being a ministers son i am saying would you want this information braodcast not only in your neighbourhood but the entire world just thought to ask.

One giant load of crap, is what it is. You would stay out of the public for a long time. Especially knowing the fact that your little darling gave consent. You would want them disciplined but you would never in a million years show your televise or broadcast yourself as the parent of any of these children. If it were a PLP politician, you and OT woulda been defending them to the core, just like the people who say Shame was just a very close friend of the blond.

I gave up some time ago! The issue doesn't seem like it's going to be addressed by the relavent authority figures so lets just forget the whole thing. This issue was dramarized and amp up because of who the young man is related to for all the wrong reasons, but regardless there is something being hogwashed and witheld!

13 year olds and 17 year olds hook up with each other all the time.

NOW HOLD UP!!!! Im not defending it.....or saying i like it....but neither age is adult and children of those ages are apt to make stupid mistakes in their lives.

Remember when you were 13 or 17....stop pretending like ya'll werent once that age.....or that you dont make mistakes at your current age.

But i think this is all being misused as a political attack and this will only damage the children further.

This should be a private affair between the children, school and parents.

Yes we all did stupid things at that age, but we didn't get caught or did we walk our self to the police station,we new the conciquences thats why we hid our selves and looked around to see if anyone was looking,we knew right from wrong,so the fact remains, they got caught,guess what someone will be robbed tonight or today but the person who do it will not get caught,but the one who is caught must be brought to justice

The only issue I was running upon was the fact that it was believed that the incident in question took place on a school campus....(wether or not it was during the school hour or after) I would like for someone to tell me when incidents like this happened before, who the matters were reported to?!? Surely we have teachers here than can answer this for me.

These people need to get a life. Even if this incident is true, what does it have to do with Cark Bethel?

He cant watch his son 24/7.

now if Carl Bethel was involved in trying to cover up the situation then i would agree with him resigning.

overall though they just need to come out with the truth as it pertains to this matter.

also at the end of the day this was and isnt a rape scenario, and the bahamas needs to look into having a 3 yr trail age law for this situation. in some states its not illegial for a 17 yr old to have sex with a 14 yr old. becuase neither child is adult
