The trouble is that Bahamian society and general, literally massacre the explicit truth.

It would be too damaging to the psyche to admit the shakey underpinnings of the country, its society and governance.

When the Tribune lifts a little corner of the veil, they are excoriated, castigated and villified.

Lurker, yes bad things happen, but good things happen as well. You have to weigh the good and bad. As you know, there are very promising Bahamian led business ventures in the mix, things that will be a good foundation for Bahamian economies. I just dont like to harp on the bad all the time, although I know it exists.

I get your point Lurker, but from a purely journalistic point of view, the Tribune routinely engages in either headline and sometimes, yellow journalism. Whenever they want to put out a story just to sell papers, they come with their "a source tells us." Does that happen in journalism? Yes it does. But it cannot be that every other day or so, you have a story with no attribution. That is tabloid reporting, plain and simple.

The Tribune has been that way for the last 12 years...but it was said that they are to be the alternative tabloid in the Bahamas.

According to a story today in the Tribune (based entirely off one, anonymous source) if the PLP bring up the controversial school sex scandal in HOA today, the FNM will reveal the names on a PLP 'Black List' of gay PLP's involved with Harl Taylor and McDonald.

If I didn't say it a million times this newspaper(The Tribune) is nothing but trash.From the time they buy the Nassau Guardian I stop buying new paper.I now get all my local news from the internet and tv.I don't have time reading one group of people one-sided thinking.I hope a new newspaper come along soon with different point of view so we can really have a choice.
