One of my uncles will take you out the church. One of the Aunts was starting up and everyone said he took her out in the middle of the service and walked her straight home!

yes...like "Abaco White" (i understand there is a difference between L.I. white n Abaco white)....na ieeeen kno if it true (look so to tho)..dey say abaco white is da purest in da Bahamas....dont quote me na but its jus da talk.

White people take valium to keep them calm during the funeral so they can act dignified!

Seriously, this behaviour is because Bahamians have lost their identity! We used to have our own culture and decency and respectability were once a part of that. US Ghetto is not Bahamian culture, but too many people are copying what they see on TV. Its as if there is no such thing as RIGHT and WRONG..Its anything goes!

Personally, I feel that you guess are giving these people a bum wrap!

These guys are seeing it fit to grieve the loss of a love one, family member, or a good friend. Now I know that they get excessive and borderline ghetto, but who is to say that they should greive in the way that the want to??? I felt that the guy who had the shrine on the back of his truck was just expressing himself the best way he knew how.

Now as for the youth of today and there method of greiving at there funerals, none of the stuff they do is called for, but if no one taught them how to greive, then they learnt it from there real parents, The TV, & Music/Videos.

I have not had to go to many funerals. Those that I went to for family members were quiet. We went in black and navy blue (children in white), and those who cried did so quietly. If you were not looking in their faces or sitting right next to them to hear breathing patterns, you would not have known who was crying. We don't act as though we just found out about the death of our loved one when we get to the church or graveyard.

A lot of the people who make noise at funerals do that "for show". When people carry on bad at the grave, talking about wanting to jump in, I think everyone should stand back and see just who is upset enough to jump in the hole after the body has been lowered.
