My fellow BI members please, please when ya ger be on Z.N.S please practice ya lil speech.

I see the people who demonstrated in Rawson Square using some words and saying some things that made me cringe. I felt like that was me.

One Straw vendor said the people in the House "taking the money and overeducating their children." Another woman said that while they are pushing up grass, (I take that to mean dead) their children will be eating flowers.

I almost dead just now!!!! LOL!! THE MOST JOKES!

He just laughed and said next time.....

I blame the openess of ZNS, they put a mike and the camera in the face of anyone these days...

That demonstration to me was just another way of exploiting a certain class of people.

Ain nobody ger get me in Rawson Square making a fool of myself and talking about something I know nothing about!

Z.N.S does pick the most ignorant set of people to interview..
Paul Moss said they represent the workers of the Bahamas. I beg to differ, we have some highly educated people in our workforce and it seems like none of them were on that picket line.

Paul needs to realize that something must be wrong, when he could only get straw vendors to follow him!

One woman said the Haitian had big parade the other day in Nassau and was ALLOWED to march in the streets . Now the Police want to harass her "a Bahamian". She said the officer Moncur tore up her poster and she wants to know what kind of Government will send officers to do that.

No, man. What is wrong with these people?! They just love to be on television, no matter how foolish they look. I wonder if ZNS gets lots of interviews, and intentionally picks the worst to broadcast.

Do people still do interviews with ZNS with the wrap-cap on?
I remember Mother Pratt used to do that ALL the TIME.

That was by far, one of the worst interviews that ZNS has aired as to date. It's as if they hand picked the people that would make primative speech seemed more fluent and clear. What is they meaning of overeducate in the context that she spoke of?? Is she saying that they have money on top of money to educate their children?!?!

PS: NOT GRASS, CRAB GRASS!!:hammer:

This is what the P.L.P's on Bahamas Uncensored had to say about their own people.

EPA PROTESTORS ARE MISGUIDED

On Wednesday 28th May, a small group of noisy protestors greeted the Prime Minister and his colleagues as they crossed the square, grinning from ear to ear, Zhivargo Laing carrying the PM’s bag, to deliver the budget statement.

The protestors organized by PLPs Paul Moss and Fayne Thompson were shouting “No E.P.A! No E.P.A.” They were voicing their opposition to the Economic Partnership Agreement that is to be signed between the European Union (EU) and the Cariforum countries on 23rd July in Barbados.

The agreement is a successor to the Lomé Agreement and its successor the Cotonou Agreement between the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries and the EU. The new agreement must be World Trade Organization (WTO) compliant in that all one-way preferences for access to markets in goods and services must now become reciprocal. The Bahamas initialled the deal with other Cariforum countries (Caricom plus the Dominican Republic) in early December.

The Bahamas, along with Haiti, has six months to educate the public on the offer in services it plans to make. Essentially, the idea is to offer a package of services that The Bahamas will allow competition in, and those that will not allow foreign competition and those with limited competition and over what time period.

Paul Moss told the protestors who don’t understand what in the world they are talking about that the EPA means that foreigners will be able to set up in the straw market and compete with them. The irony of this is that foreigners are now in the market competing with them, Jamaicans and Haitians, working for other Bahamian stallholders.

Under the Bahamian proposal, the retail and distributive trades will be unbound which means that the status quo now will prevail where there no competition will be allowed except under the existing policies. It is the kind of silliness that was used to great effect against the last government’s proposals on joining the Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME).

The FNM reneged on its pledge to remain at one with the PLP on the issue of CSME but is now looking for comfort and succour from the PLP with regard to the EPA, which is even more intrusive and will have a greater impact than the CSME could ever have. We think that signing the EPA is in the best interest of The Bahamas.

The protests are misguided but the government contrary to what Hubert Ingraham said in his budget statement has not carried out an effective programme of public education. Notably silent are the many white Bahamians who opposed the CSME like tricky Ricky Lowe and Brian Moree, the perennial gadflies who oppose anything black oriented. This involves Europe so of course there is silence. A superior product you see!

Perry silent while the P.L.P members are doing what they please!

Maybe it's time the P.L.P reign in Moss and Thompson and put some sense in their heads. While they are educating them, they also need to tell them to stop exploiting those vulnerable straw vendors and using them as puppets.

I thought better of Thompson he is suppose to be a lawyer. (Then again I take that back, some of my dumbest friends are Lawyers)

In addition to being train wrecks, Paul Moss and Fayne Thompson are opportunists.

That demonstration was not about the EPA...it was about them gaining "brownie points" for their public personas....and when election time come they going to them dame straw vendors who they give one slow 10 and a can of soda to for votes.

Paul Moss is a lawyer too!

I agree on the statement that I made bold.

I can take the bar exam without doing the LLB and run circles around plenty of them!
