Govt Praised For Environmental Funding Allocation

..."An official of the Bahamas National Trust on Thursday applauded the government’s decision to increase the budgetary allocation for the BNT in 2008/2009 while providing funding for an environmental protection initiative launched by Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham recently.
In his Budget Communication Wednesday, Mr. Ingraham announced that the new budget provides, in addition to the annual subvention of $1 million to the BNT instituted by his government in the last budget period, a further sum of $250,000 for the expressed purpose of covering salary and other costs associated with the engagement of park wardens deployed to manage parks around the country."....
