I cannot believe that BTC employees actually believe that they should be at the negotiating table for the sale of BTC.

When since those the owners of a business need to involve it's employees in negotiation's if they intend to sell the business? I could see them negotiating once a buyer is found to ensure that they treated fairly, but not before.

Then Robert Farquharson with his some of his co-conspirators is saying saying he will call on the TEACHERS, Water and Sewerage and B.E.C.
If the numbers today are any indication of the support Roberts is having, I see why he wants other civil servants to join him. Shawn Bowe In Freeport too.

People trying to keep their jobs. B.T.C employees gat it too good, they trying to hinder this privatization, because they know the new owners will whip them into shape and get rid of a lot of their slackness.

They know that if someone with a true business head buys BTC their days are numbered.

They often say the persons who talk the loudest, are the most ignorant and out of touch and are trying to make up for their short comings.

That being said, the unions will always strike. But, will it be for their benefit? The last union debacle we had in this country, which caused amajor social buzz, was the teachers union. All of the other stuff, was small potatoes. Now, BTC union, is not even in the ball park.....unions have turned off the Bahamian people, in so many ways.

Sad though. We need them. But, they have not worked hand in hand, the right way, with the government and private companies, in order to secure workers rights.

The disgusting paradox of unions, is that they seek to hire more, to get union dues, but, when they hire more, they give up on benefits for the ones already working.

I am sick of the lousy "half workers"...but...I am also sick of companies, coming into the Bahamas, and firing workers at a whim with no reprecussion to that firm at all.

We have a serious issue and we need to come together on this. BTC will most likely privatize, even if the powers that be have to shoot Jesus to do it. That being said, simply prepare for whats to come instead of fighting hard, for the wrong issue, which is inevitable!

The college was a very good idea. I was impressed with the overall idea and set up. I had hoped that they would have stuck with it, by now that school would have been well established. There were on the right track but I don't know what happened.
