I was asking the private property question as Kerzner bought Cabbage Beach fro the Robinsons and it extended all the way around the coast of PI to the RIU!
Maybe he agreed to use this portion as public access as a token to Bahmians and now we have proven that we carn behave!
Then he would be in breach of that aggreement, therefore he should pay out money...And what do you mean Bahamians can't behave...to suggest suggest a thing is attacking each and every Bahamian as we cannot behave and should not mix amongst the tourist... I wonder if they turn back the white tourist them who does go on cabbage beach or if only they turning back Bahamians.

name me five Bahamians you know who have a boat...plus where you ga park the boat...They have them nets to prevent you from coming close to land...I wonder if they ban the jet sky operators too...

Minister Earl Deveaux a few month ago was on tv saying that all public beaches and acess would be identified and clearly marked.guess this incident will expediate that.

This is what is killing our country. We have descended to the level of the uncouth. In the past Bahamians had less money and more CLASS, the older Bahamians are being replaced by the new "breed" proudly referred to as the Jungalist, who has more money and LESS CLASS.

The Jungalists behave just as the word suggests, like wild animals that live in the Jungle. Sadly, this arrogance that we demonstrate by declaring that we are entitled to behave however we wish, without regard for the implications to our country and fellow Bahamians, is what is destroying our society at its core. Licks2 shows himself to be a part of our country's PROBLEM, not the solution. If we continue along this destructive path and our country's economy is wrecked, we'll wish we addressed this disease called the Jungalist Mentality a lot sooner.

We really need too change the way we view ourselves.

Many of you are missing the distinction. The beach is not closed. Private property extends to the high water line of the beach and upward. What has happened is that the private owner of the property that was being used as the access (and it might not even be Kerzner) has decided to stop people from accessing his property. This is something that is absolutely the right of the property owner. If you can get to the beach without trespass, and stay below the high water line, you are fine. The issue that is being missed is the question if there is a public access to the beach, or is it all private property. This issue is one for the government to address, not private property owners.
But the private property owners don't have a right to have police cars there guarding thier private property.

It is a generalisation! U are excused. During the summer....on Sunday evenings take on a project to drive out west to Goodman's Bay and observe...unfortunately the ones who do misbehave make it bad for the rest of us!

All depends on who the police works for...
It is clear that the police was called in...and the police is enforcing the law...therefore some kind of paper work was shown to them. Let the paper work be made public...photocopy versions of it.
