Don't forget when atlantis had some slow months last year and all the restaurants were emty they started advertising the Marina village to the Bahamian public. When Sol needed some fast capital inflow a few yrs ago he sold shares to bahamians- then kicked them to the curb! they use us when they need us then kick us out!

(8) they dont love me, they only know me when dey need me (8) :friday:

There was a news article last night. It seemed as of they were goingto be at the foot of the bridge determining who would be able to go over the bridge. For instance they said large groups of young men on the back of trucks would not b allowed. Yes it is discrimination but...what do u want them to do? Loose business when they are in the business to have a black bottom line!
I wonder if they would allow a truck load of women accross the bridge...will PI is a gated community...ah well...Can you imagine One incident cause all of dis...what does that say about our country, our police force...

Now the question should be, is Cabbage beach safe...should I fear for my life...

Anyway, I remember when a survey went around to all Atlantis staff asking them if they would consider ferrying over to work...of course every one, at least the ones I talked to, said NO...but aint long nah...if you aint get a pass to be on the boat you aint 'pose to be ova PI.

U een following me...the children have already been banned unless they with their parents!
I want them tell me my money carn spend in Marina Village!

if they tell me that brown, i wouldnt spend my money there. and i would tell EVERY LAST BAHAMIAN I KNOW BOUT THAT. i'd put a letter in da newspaper. and to be real stink (even though it would hurt bahamians), i'd tell every visitor i know about that. and every potential visitor......i wouldnt let dat dead.

PERSONALLY, when people ask me bout my country, atlantis is the last thing on my mind, but the first thing on theirs. i try to encourage them to visit places that are not on P.I. I swear, we so scared to tell these potential visitors about our own land, and when they go on the internet, Atlantis is the only thing they see when it comes to The Bahamas........

I tell ya, people need to come together and make NEW PROVIDENCE a premier destination in the Caribbean. Nassau been funky long time, we just need to make sure that the world knows that. Man aye listen to that song again "The Beginning of The End's Funky Nassau." to me, that embodies everything that Nassau is, not only the lyrics but the music too. upbeat, loud, exciting, make you wanna shake ya hips, click ya finger tips..........LOL I READY TO COME HOME!!!!!!:hammer:

We does forget quickly you know...
Ery summer they does advertise all they restaurants to the Bahamian public....right now Atlantis is down to 45% they does pray for the week end so it could get up to 70%. We all must remember that Atlantis needs us just like we need it...its a two way street and a mutual respect. I say thank God for Kerzner however, when and if he is wrong, he must pay and pay big...with fines etc.

I go out alot and I eat out often! Most service professionals think Im crazy because I demand value for my money. The places I frequent know I dont take excuses etc....So the minute I am treated like a second class citizen at a Kerzner property it will be on! I will launch an all out campaign!

No not at all Newry. I am not suggesting that Bahamians be denied their birthright. No REAL Bahamian would ever wish for that. What I am saying is that those who subscribe to this Jungalist Mentality do all Bahamians a disservice, by creating an image for all of us as being uncouth, gruff, unsocialized, violent, classless human beings. This is NOT what a Bahamian is, but it is who the Jungalists would have others believe we have become. We have to rid ourselves of this disease, because it is not compatible with the kind of Bahamas we want for our children and future generations.
As with any other grouping of people there is heterogeneity to the Bahamian populace.... that is... while the jungalist mentality is prevalent, the existence of decent upstanding Bahamians far exceeds the "bad apples"... It is unfair to judge and treat Bahamians (in their own country) based on the actions of a few... SOL KERZNER no matter how much money he spends NOR how much his investment is worth should be given the right to do so... Beach access is promised to ALL Bahamians with NO subclause that judges social standing or "jungalessness"...When Lincoln said to wake up I'm really not sure that resounded LOUD enough.... I couldnt give a rat's behind about protecting Kerzner's investment... What concerns me is the preservation of the Bahamas for Bahamians....
