There's a popular saying that goes, "It don't hurt to ask." I'm inclined to take that bit of wisdom to heart. Lots of strange things are going down in Nassau town, people. One nice long drive in this 7-by-21 and questions just start popping into your brain, and you need somewhere to put them. I mean, it ain't like you expect to get answers, you just need to ask for the sake of your own sanity. So here it goes: The 2008 edition of 20 questions.

n 1. How dem Rastas sellin peanuts don't be sweatin in the noon-day sun? I mean, all dat hair, the drapes they wearin for clothes and dem table cloth wrap round their head too? Amazing.

* 2. Why do drivers going in the wrong lane 'cause they want to overtake always think they need to blink their lights in order for me to see them? They comin straight at me!

* 3. Why, oh why, would someone stick fake bullet holes on the sides of their car? Have these people heard of the power of suggestion?

* 4. What happened to those tracking bracelets for people out on bail? I guess that idea made way too much sense.

* 5. Did anybody else hear Frank Smith call Hubert Ingraham the cookie monster at the PLP convention? C is for cookie, that's good enough for me. C is for cookie . . .

* 6. I know Delia wrote the note and Sadie bar the door. But who are Delia and Sadie exactly?

* 7. Why would a web shop use the slogan "Everybody Wins"? . . . . Isn't that false advertising?

* 8. Speaking of web shops, when the numbers man applies for a business license to open a web shop (wink, wink), tell me, who exactly is responsible for approving that application?

* 9. How many times do they have to cancel Junkanoo before we get fed up?

My mother LOVED "You Are Not Alone" when it first came out. Any time she wanted to hear it, she would call Eddie because she knew he would play it for her. He got to know her by name, eventually. Lol.

Maybe, Bahamians are at the first phase of the process...recognizing the problems with the expectations that the next generation will resolve these outstanding issues.

Maybe, Bahamians are at the first phase of the process...recognizing the problems with the expectations that the next generation will resolve these outstanding issues.
maybe....but that will only begin to work when we reach the next stage of arresting the issues.....otherwise.....they will continue to mount...and they already outnumber the people that are trying to discover them.....

What we need is a complete change....processes....policies......personnel....the whole 29 yards...
