I saw this letter in the Punch Lines today:

"Obama's policies on offshore banks bad news for Bahamas.
Many Bahamians are happy that Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for the U.S. presidency. But have they thought about what this means for The Bahamas.
Over a year ago, Senator Carl Levin was joined by Senator Obama in presenting a Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act in the U.S. Senate. If enacted, it would virtually close down The Bahamas as a key financial services location for Americans.
The happiness surrounding Obama's candidacy for the presidency based on the fact that he is black is misguided. If he becomes U.S. President, he may close one of our top industries-- off-shore banking for rich foreigners.
That should scare every Bahamian, especially those within the finance industry. They're still recovering from the new laws that abolished our bank secrecy Act in 2000.
People are worrying about the Economic Agreement with the European Union while the real bomb is ticking in the U.S. But we don't see it. The Act backed by Obama will authorize the IRS to take special measures within and against The Bahamas.
Wake up Bahamians. The junior Senator from Illinois, Obama, is bad news for The bahamas -- despite the fact that he could become the first black president for the U.S.
He presents a real threat to our financial services sector and the people working in it.
Abraham Moss, Nassau."

CHile when he becomes president he een gonna have no time to follow up on this.

And because of their tax information exchange laws and our "ati blacklisting" laws there are not a lot of American "sheltering" money here! Most clients of the offshore banks and trust cos are European!

I don't think that we will have to worry about Obama winning the presidencial race because my guess is that Clinton will enter the race as an independent and still win the race!!!

It was a good run for Obama though!!! He will never win the the president's seat!!! NEVER!!
