What Nassau one though??
Not talking about the Straw Market, hear they have good food there too.

I think bay street could use some green space, among other things.
The straw market is an embrassment. Last time I been in there I aint see no bahamians or any thing bahamian for sale...and I've been seeing some beautiful straw work around but not in the straw market. When I bring my friends from the states home with me the straw market is not a stop on my list.
Can someone tell me where I can find a nice straw bag to carry back with me? I am in love with some of these new desaigns I seeing on ladies arms around town. I was told they coming from Long Island.

Check out Festival Place on Prince George Wharf. Also the craft market on PI!

All I can say is a park in that spot is going to need 24/7 Police security, not the fake ones with cell phones.

beautiful, structured bags with an amazingly tight weave unlike much of what one sees in the straw marketplace. I have a small straw doctor's bag she styled several years ago that i still get compliments on.

The way i see it is this government is looking out for special interest groups in this country. Hubert Ingraham have the gall to not build the people a new straw market after criticizing the opposition at one of his rallies for not building a straw market in 5 years. He even called them WATLESS for not doing so & promise that if reelected he will set about building a state of the art straw market. He also said a vote for the PLP IS A VOTE FOR CRIME & in a space of 1 year all levels of crimes are up under his government. I'll never vote FNM as long as i live in this country & my children after me will never vote FNM.
