they can collect if they pay into it. (and who knows this could be their part-time job)

Well if it was regulated some agency would quarantine a prostitute with an STD (that should be done anyways)....think about it...a prostitute could spread her/his STD's do God knows how many people....that's probably going on right now.

And like I said medical expenses could be paid out of taxes on prostitution companies....there is major $$$ being made right now all going into the pockets of pimps and the people who run the prostitution operations.......right now the Bahamas government and society is dealing with the burdens of prostitution and its effects...at least we could monitor, regulate, and tax it.

I say enforce the laws (which the police and judiciary aren't doing regarding prostitution) or change them.

They need their own fund. Fund(s) to be more specific - a health fund and a provident fund, so that they don't think that they could hog up all the National Insurance. Also, it should be arranged that a special type of 'high-risk' insurance be implemented, due to the nature of their 'business'.

Looks like the the police got the green light to go into the no go zone.
I just got told the whore house on Dowdeswell and Amrstrong street was raided by the police last night!!!Apparently the police managed to arrest some people so they had better luck out east then west.
Bey the people who behind that operation must be ticked off....for years that operation has been immune to police.....
Wonder what changed.....

Sorry for mis-information.

The 'brothel' on the corner of Armstrong and Dowdeswell street was not raided by the police because of prostitution...
I have been told it was raided because the occupants were in possession of stolen goods.....the electronic store on Armstrong street had been burglarized a while ago and the stolen goods were apparently found there (they got some nerve because they stored them only about 100 feet away from the burglarized shop).

The 'brothel' is back open.
