Well I heard today that SAC's results were exceptional again this year....
asterz57 08-03-08, - 06:59 PM How bout MOE implement a curriculum for those who are academically inclined. All students entering HS in da Government school take a test to see where they are at academically. Those who aint cutting the mustard give them an option of taking up a trade. Set them up for after HS. Teach them the basic English, Maths, Health Science and some History but their main focuss would be on their trade.
After HS they can go onto the TC and get a certification in that specific trade. The national average wont get any better and to think the national average was made up of those who took the BGCSE. Imagine if everyone took the BGCSE.

Several such tests are done. One eg. GLAT, there are others...

Brown Suga 08-03-08, - 07:07 PM Kudos!!!
It says alot about the commitment of the students and not just the fact that school takes the sheep and not the goat from inception!
The students work hard and are very competitive and the teachers and parents provide great support!

Test like the GLAT dont mean ish these days. ALso some people are not good at taking test.
Lol, I cant think of any. When I look at private schools Im not gonna waste my money if my child isnt performing. The majority of students from private schools either got to COB or off to college. The public students are the ones left in Nassau looking for jobs. Also they are the majority. Why not start in the public schools and see if the private will follow suit. We gatta start somewhere.

Here we go wit this stupid talk again.
You cant compare public and private schools.
Private schools select who they want in the school in the first place.
Private school select who could take BJC or BGCSE
Public school een get those choices.
Get real and stop talking crap about private schools 'better'.
Public schools always get one hand tie behind their backs.
Think about this: only a handful of private schools do well. What you think bout dat:bouncy:
Where is their accountability???????
