For future clarification, it is true; I am not a Christian nor do I subscribe to any formal religious group. However, like Jesus Christ, I know and do not simple believe, as the Christian, that there is but one God of creation.

As humans of limited understanding we often bestow unduly honors upon each other to denote a form of righteousness in our eyes, and from that time to the present I have yet to meet a living person that can honestly claim holiness as part of their character…have you?

I find no comfort in the regurgitated sentiments of those long ago deceased, nor do I believe in their idealistic visions of tomorrow. Promising as it may appear to the optimist, yet the reality of it all is in the state our presently unchanging condition; being born in sin and raised in iniquity. We shall be like the Lord our God...someday I should imagine, but until that day come we shall remain in our present state as humans with all our earthly imperfection. When, and if, the Lord our God chooses one among us for sainthood; everyone meeting that person will know that he/she is in the presence of someone holy…I have no doubt of this.
I would not need to read their heart because there will be a clear unique difference in the character and lifestyle of that individual that sets them aside from all others.

I pray that you will awaken refreshed to continue the excellent witness which your posts provide. I was particularly encouraged recently when you were describing the Brotherly (Agape) love which your family shared with an out-of-town family who would visit from time to time.

The God who called and established the nation known as The Bahamas is encouraged to sustain us when there is evidence of even a remnant of people who still believe in His precepts. Therefore, your words are like fine gold.

For decades our people have viewed national development through the prism of political affiliations, but that time has passed. As a nation we will only be sustained as long as there is a clear demonstration of commitment to those principles upon which our democracy was founded.

A quick inspection of the thread last evening indicated that you were experiencing adverse weather conditions. So I prayed for you and the continuity of the prosperity of my hometown, Grand Bahama Island.

Hopefully, our prayers for the safety and well-being of the graduates as well as those who must travel the Fishing Hole Road were answered and there were no incidents of disaster.

After some years of practice, I've come to realize that Prayers really work, especially when they are offered.
