SMT @ the religious awards. I can see that all of the religiosity has done the country well.

At least they een like the last government, giving high Queen's Honours to the psalm-singing fornicators like Ellis, Munroe et al. And thank goodness there were no high honours to trade unionists. They are also responsible for economic retardation of this country.

Aren't you a great big ball of sunshine today?
You amuse me on a daily basis, Lurker. :)

I feel like I should know who Barbara Darville is... The name is familiar, but I can't think of where I've heard or seen it before.

What has Wendy Craig done to deserve this honor?

Her career at the Central Bank begun in 1978, she was appointed to Governor in 2005.

In MY view, she has been an absentee Governor as it relates to reporting to the public. Compared to Julian Francis, who had his share of troubles, other men like Sir Willian Allen and the one after him whose name excapes me at the moment. Her performance has been lacklustre.

The Governor of the central Bank should be well known.

In 'lean' times like these, in the past, the Governor of the Central Bank make some sort of announcement if only to admonish the citizenry to curb spending and increase savings.

In recent times, Ms Craig has been silent. Most people here are not even familiar with her and her portfolio.

As has been the case with her recently, she was unavailable for comment yesterday.

I agree with you Facts. She is undeserving of this honor the only reasion she get this is politics and we in this country allow politics to destroy what country is really about from the straw market to the Queen;s birthday list. Give honor to people work hard for their country no matter its PLP and FNM.

Wait!! Hold on!! You trying to tell me that 'some' past, present and future honorees does get it by way of POLITICS?:footmouth

I don't know if I would she she is 'undeserving' of this honor. I'd just like to know on what basis. Maybe she has acheived great things that I have no knowledge of. My comments were based on what I perceive her performance as Governor of the Central Bank to be.

I'm not impressed.

If the kind folks of BI can enlighten me, please......... feel free.

That is how it runs in every Commonwealth country. The real question is: When we “goin’ get” our own honours?
