We don't have enough facts as yet, but maybe it was HIS home and his elderly mother lived with him. Sad though...how awful for her to find him in that condition. I hope it was not a case where he was being abusive to the girlfriend and her son intervened. As I said, too early to speculate but one cannot help but wonder!
