I did not realise that local government elections were so political. Read the other thread on this. It is a victory for the Opposition because the Opposition challenged the FNM in their wrongful adminsitration of political policy and the democratic system. The Opposition actually and finally did what is really the job of the Opposition. Objective thought 06-26-08, - 09:20 PM Glenys says court ruling is PLP victory. What does it have to do with the PLP? YardManPickney 06-26-08, - 09:42 PM YEs, this is a victory for the people of the bahamas. If people would act in our interest at not looking for glory we would be so much further as a nation. When will politrikians realise this is not about them its about the health and development of the nation and its people. No actually I was in their corner until recently. I just can stand to hear the talk about 'the people' when they forgot their base. Objective thought 06-26-08, - 10:22 PM I guess you did! They should have been fighting for the people when they had a chance. Just ask the straw vendors! Shameful! So the PLP failed, OK...They are no longer in office but what is this govt doing?? Also, wasn't it HI who promised on the campaign trail that his govt would rebuild the straw market within the first 2 years of his administration??? Also, when the PLP told the nation that the FNM does not want to rebuild the straw market on its original site, wasn't it HI who said that that was a LIE and his govt would rebuild the straw market on its original site???? Objective thought 06-26-08, - 10:26 PM No actually I was in their corner until recently. I just can stand to hear the talk about 'the people' when they forgot their base. Don't you think that that happens under all govts??? That's a petty reason to switch....I believe in the policies and principles of the PLP and not most of the people or what I could get....I just want them to help those who need the help the most.....
