in regards to your question..probably..the global community loves controversy. but i wonder what is the real reason that the cardinal is so peeved. I'm getting a "only members that we see fit may find new insights to the bible" vibe from this. but serious what exactly is the reason behind this? (and i'll be chuckling at anyone who follows suit)

I think it's a little too late for that. The book is huge and it will be made into a movie starring Tom Hanks as the lead. I personally did not like the book, Im not into condoning conspiracy theories. I did learna few new words though.

i think the book was a fiction...plato would have banned the book too, and he was a secular philosopher!
i find it rather unsettling when book or movies, tell about things that re supposed to be true, and then falsify the claims!
more than likely, when it is found out to be incredible in the first place..then they call it art!

There is nothing like banning something to make it more attractive.

If the Catholic Church was wise it would refute the claims of the book (which they have done) and leave it at that.

Yes it was, but they used a number of legends that have been around for hundreds of years. The major legend was that the Holy Grail was not the cup that Jesus used at the last supper, and later caught a few drops of his blood while he was on the cross. The "thing" that held his blood was the child he fathered with Mary Magdalene. Mary was smuggled to France - so the legend goes!

the lie about the inteligence being faulty was a lie...richard pearle came back and retracted the whole story in which moore based his movie on...and you can check the new york times for that!

the whole movie raked in millions off of the pain and suffering of the people who were in it..they got nothing, and wasnt even asked to be a part of the film!
when he asked a congressman in the film, in charge of the senate committee investigating the 9-11 what was he doing about the people who were not recieving aid packages...the senator said he did have a toll free number in which you can call..moor said that the 1-800 number was not working..but the truth is, that it wasnt a 1-800 number but a toll free 1-877 number..quite common in the u.s.....

moore is a liar, a spin doctor and one of the worse kinds of democrats..he is a capitalists democrat, who lies behind being for welfare and liber actions, but only into lining his own pocket...
and doesnt care if in the meantime if corrupts the mids of innocent people..thank god it didnt matter in the long run..bush won!
