The PLP in recent times have been calling for the resignation of Sydney Collie. Now we learn today that the minister has resigned.Do you think in light of this that the PLP is doing a good job in Parliment as the opposition and keeping the government on its feet?

I think that much of what the Opposition was doing early on was not them acting as good stewards as the Opposition. I think the PLP is getting better as the Opposition, and this was certainly evidence of that.

Actually I thought Collie resigning was putting the FNM in a much more positive light than the PLP calling for his resignation.
The FNM is showing the Bahamian people how a government is supposed to operate.
Sadly, if the PLP win the next election I doubt that the lesson will hold up and they will go right back to their old ways.

What i heard was that the plp got wind that collie was about to resign, so to score brownie points they ask for him to resign. If thats the case , the plp aint doing sheet.

The PLP is indeed an affective Opposition, They are the BEST at DISTRACTING Bahamians from the issues with all their tactics and ruckus. Sids resignation makes teh FNM look great. It shows accountability. Sid Knew he was wrong and so he had to do teh honorable thing. The PLP are keeping the govt on the edge with all the silyness...but the govt WILL STAY THE COURSE and will NOT succomb to their tricks:D

Well we know that's a lie....
When have you ever seen a Bahamian politician resign anything voluntarily!

Sound like them cause ain't none of them have the nerve to suggest that, they are not used to a Minister having to resign if he/she messed up.
