View Full Version : SHOULD A WOMAN OVER 40 DATE SOME ONE IN THEIR 20's?
The Exotic One 07-03-08, - 12:23 PM I NEED SOME FEED BACK FROM U GUYS.. A FRIEND OF MINE CALLED ME LAST NIGHT FOR SOME ADVISE.. SHE IS IN HER MID 40'S AND DIVORCED.. SHE HAS RECENTLY MET A YOUNG MAN VERY MATURED IN HIS 20'S.. HAS A JOB, HIS OWN CAR, APARTMENT ETC.. MY CONTENTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT THE DISPARITY IN AGE WILL CAUSE THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED NOT TO BE EVENLY YOKED SO TO SPEAK..IN ADDITION TO THAT HER EXPERIENCE WITH MOST THINGS WILL FAR EXCEED HIS.. ALSO IF SHE TRIES TO BREAK IT OFF HE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BECOME A STALKER.. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST A MAN THIS AGE WILL BE LOOKING FOR MORE OF A CARE TAKER THAN AN ACTUAL PARTNER..
PRAY TELL WHAT DO U GUYS THINK? :cutie:

Exactly what age in the 20's....closer to 30 maybe!
A man of any age can become a stalker if he doesn't have the upper hand in the breaking off process. Also a man of any age is looking for a dam caretaker so I don't know if this holds much water!
LotusPhoenix 07-03-08, - 12:30 PM Why not. I mean whos to say who can date whom?
If they are both happy and enjoying it I say go for it.

I think if the 2 of them love each other from the heart then it shouldn't be a problem . Age is nothing but a number as long as they can work together in this everything should be smooth sailing. i am one of the young men looking for a mature older person so i can say from experience.

To be honest, in my gut I too is say 'what da hell?' But if they are genuinely in love they should go for it. But if it was me, I wouldnt because if you follow the stories in Doc's Tonic those guys that go in relationships with such wide age gaps is regret it. They is see the woman gettin older and be sayin to themselves, 'why I do this dread?'. So taking all considerations into account, my advice is that your friend should absolutely DONT go through with it.

Then that means when you are forty you won't be dating a 20 year old...lol.
Different strokes for different folks (great, now the song is in my head)
You are entitled to feel however you feel but please do not try to push your beliefs on her. If she asks, tell her you have issues with it. IF she doesn't ask, keep ya trap shut.

You wanna know how many relationships I've said that about?
It may not work but that can be said for any relationship. Any one at any age can be immature, needy, greedy, conniving, disloyal, wonderful, ready, dependant, independant...its really not the age.
PLUS if this were reverse there probably wouldn't be too much of a problem (older man younger woman).
I say CARPE DIEM...
