you came, unbeknown to me.
You came as a theif in the night. you came, gliding in, on Eagle's wings. You came, with the attitude of a serial murderer. You scope, you stalk, collecting data and then swooping in for the kill.Collecting your prey; in the midst of the waking world.
You came, and grudgingly stole from me my beloved one.
You came, uninvited without my permission; you invaded my space, my privacy and viviously snatch that which was not yours.
You came, violated me and left without an apologetic glance.
How do i return to the solace of my castle without the fear of your eminent return.

Your poem, which I am glad you posted, looks at death from a Christian view. Death is the Enemy - "the thief, the serial murderer, swooping in for the kill." But there is another view and if I was a poet I would put it in words. Death as a part of life, not an evil part but an unavoidable, and often welcomed, part of life. We are born, we grow, we die. It is life's cycle. Why does the Christian see it as the enemy?
