Mr. Jackson Burnside designed The Marina Village. What, a Bahamian isn't capable of designing such a nice village? And you say that you would know if he did, with such conviction. Give Mr. Burnside his props, woman!!!!!!!!!!!
clearly she was misinformed; she said she going to check and come back.

no bol.....so is it like an indoor or outdoor mall...
yeah its like a mall.
I hear, Crystal Palace will have one like that too. I like how they used a island theme, I know whenever they do down town Nassau, they will take all that island flare and put up high rise. It seems like only foreigners them appreciate island life. We want big city life.

Im sure no Bahamian has done architecture work for Atlantis! I have the inside dibbs on Architecture in the Bahamas! Bahamians designed Hurican Hole - my brother being one of the architects all those years ago! Sad to know it's going to be demolished soon!
I'm not sure but Burnside designed Bayside in Miami!
I will check this further! He had a big job in Miami...Marina Village is designed based on Bayside if u ever visited there!

How you could come on here speaking with such authority, and be so wrong?

Jackson also designed the P.I. Fire Station for Kerzner.

He had a similar plan for redeveloping Bay Street in the Marina Village mold, but once again Government paid for consultancy/design work aka EDAW that never materialized.

The FNM government say stop, cease and desist with the plans. And Burnside designed the NIB building. Now that is a catastrophe. So much wasted space.

So for Well Mudo and the others I promised here it goes...yes Jackson designed Marina Village!

I'm not afraid to say when Im wrong! I've been to meetings where Atlantis had int'l architects so I assumed Marina was done by one!

I'm woman enuf to admit when Im wrong!

Women tend to be very critical of each other in general, it is not only Nassau women. I also believe that it is a fashion faux paux pass the age of say 12 to wear white underwear under white clothing. Underwear should not be visible from the outside. There is a reason that they are called under-wear.

Arawak key had a designer. I thought everything was just wantonly placed and erected.

So I just got back from the Marina Village. Wow that place is awesome. So many things to do, so many people to look at. And the women, wow! I am impressed to know that a Bahamian came up with the design.
Nevertheless, I was there at an old classmates job. I am getting good at this hanging thing. However, it is taken a toll on my allowance; the old lady having issues. I assumed that my "friend" would hook me up, she didn't. So I had to spend my own money. Anyways, this young girl came into the store, she was about 14 years. Too young to look at, but she will have great potential in the future. She was a solid girl, however, she wore a matured outfit. It was tight around the waist. So tight one could have clearly see her undewear. They were bloomers. After a quick glance of acknowledgement and a smile, I continued the conversation with my friend and her co workers. However, all of a sudden the young women, whose ages ranged from 19 to about 25 started 'scorning' the young child, making her feel uncomfortable. Sad.
Here them, "you know she wrong to wear white panties with that white, tight dress. She should have worn a black panties." Quietly I continued to listen, thinking to myself, boy women does do each other bad aye, and they does notice too damn much. Here's what the other one said, "man she should have worn thongs." I couldn't stand it any longer, thongs on a child?" Something have to be wrong with that, these Nassau women corrupt, dread.
So I interjected, no man, that gal too young to wear thongs, at that age, she should wear bloomers. To my dismay, these gals started to gang me with words; they were very brash too. They claimed that girls should start wearing thongs as early at 12. I was vex. No sister of mine at that age aint wearing no adult thongs. Thongs are for women. They aint underwear in the first place. they are sexywear: lingerie. I was so vex, I left right then. Actually being row at cause me to leave quicker, but in any event, I wanted to go see that new movie at galleria. And that is another dang story. But I serious though, young gals shouldn't be wearing sexy underwear at that age. What wrong with Bahamian women. They seem so crude now a days.

One word answer "JEALOUS".. Women are only that venomous when whatever of whomever they are looking at like better.. firstly that girl was young, her mother should be be the one advising her n her attire and if mom doesn't do it, then they should nicely pull the young lady aside and explain it to her/... as for thongs I agree she would be a bit too young to wear that..:cutie:
