when you try to make money..some people just find ways not to pay you what they feel they shouldt..capitalism has two sides...and stealing is one!

I feel very strongly about this copyright business. I use to be a Freelance photographer. My pictures were "stolen" often - but only in the Bahamas! Every other countries that I published in (US, UK.) always gave me the right "by-line" and I was paid each time a picture was used.

The average Bahamian has no respect, or understanding, of intellectual property. And for those of you that stated that the US should cleanup it's own bootlegging, I agree! And they are. But it is very difficult when "honest" folks see no problem in stealing other people work. But are we going to wait until they have fixed their problem before we fix our own? There is a moral issue here as well. Bahamians are stealing - other people might be as well but it is the Bahamas we need to worry about.

It is disgusting that the small man as usual is being attacked. They quickly grabbed the young men off the streets and sent them to jail. But I don't see any patrol cars pulling up to cable bahamas and locking them up. I don't see them pulling up to super video and locking the up. Now you send these young men back onto the streets alot of them have criminal records already and can't get a job so now what are they going to do. EXPECT THE CRIME RATE TO INCREASE.
There are direct TV satellites on police stations and on government house. Its funny how the police would drive pass a drug house and a number house/webshop to go lock up a small man making $2 a DVD.
The government was paid off to do this. Just like they were paid off by the car dealers to stop fellas bringing in mash up cars and fixing them up. Just like they are paid off to keep the number houses open. They won't legalize gambling cause the number guys won't have to pay them any more.
Don't just attack the weak small man deal with ALL. Wrong is wrong whether you are rich or small.

Well, of course you are right. The law should be applied evenly. Wrong is wrong if one has one bootlegged product for sale or one million.

Its all the same BS, just like the road trap at cable beach .. they dont do crap the other 300 or so days a year ..only the here and there days, in the same areas .. they are after money, thats all.

I saw Police officers in Uniform, in Waterloo last night, dancing with Spring breakers, with their Police Hats on the girls heads, and one was even sitting at the bar feeling up a Spring Breaker ... IN UNIFORM!!!!!!!!
