Gotcha! I am glad I don't feel compelled to bait or feed or respond to everything. My fear is that this island is only so big and with a little effort one could probably figure who someone is if they are determined enough. Who knows how offended a person may get by something seemingly trivial to someone else.

Because when people write, you cannot detect tone of voice or inflection, some people take the written word out of context either accidentally or on purpose. Instead of taking a few steps back and really thinking about what someone has posted or asking for clarity they react immediately.

A lot of folks on BI appear to have their own personal agendas and if you cross what they perceive to be as "the line" they set out to get you. Some of these same people then get out of hand with their insults and even threats.

IMO you learn quickly here who to steer clear of. I often sit here and desperately want to respond to a post but think twice about it to avoid conflict. Sadly some folks seem to take anything that is said in disagreement to their internet persona personally, and will try to retaliate in some way.

Ann you are so right.There are some persons because they are on their computer and not face to face, they have a tendancy to post things to others that would cause a serious reaction in the real world.I have been the victim of a character who wants to bring me down to gutter level.but after much thought and reflection, I did not reply not beacause of a sign of weakness but I really said to myself if this was face to face how would i react.I am not a confrontational person, I prefer to enjoy life no matter what it may bring.but you have some person on BI who just wait for someone to post something that they do not agree with, and they all over them like stink on shiite.until characters on BI realise that not everyone has to or will agree with you,the better the forum will be.but when we have these characters who do not know how to debate without assisinating someones character,threatening another person with violence,or even try for a real life confrontation,there will be more members following brown suga's path.Delroy has a great forum, but it is sad to see that there are persons who abuse it.
