It looks like you can't upload the most recent stories. But when you click National News you can get those stories so maybe you can get stale news online (which for non residents I don't really see the problem there) but if you want todays news, buy todays paper.
Can't say I blame them. Tings tough.
That was there from Friday. They may not have had the chance to sweep it all clean yet. They may have no intention of posting ANY news there.

Anyway, BI, which member is going to give the NG Lines (like the Punch Lines)?
I don't know if I can get any relatives to commit to scanning the paper everyday...

Seriously, like CG said, most of the news comes from here anyway, so don't trouble them Lovely.

I see what you mean! Every story has that message! What is the point??

Wow... This really stupid... At least they should a paragraph of each story that way it might make you want to buy the paper to read the rest of it, But My God they dont even have a bit of anything. Why should I go online just to be told to buy the paper. Thats like us saying we will put up pictures of our parts and services, but not the prices. It would be totally useless.

Dear Mr. Carron,

It has come to the attention of the internet world that the Nassau Guardian no longer posts reports to www.nassauguardian.com. Every news link suggests that the reader go any purchase a newspaper.

While that may be a viable solution to resident Bahamians who have the means and mobility to find a newspaper seller, it does not help Bahamians who live out of the country. It does not help the college student away from home, the Bahamian business person working abroad or those that cannot leave their homes due to age or infirmity.

I strongly recommend that the Nassau Guardian reconsider its action of removing its news from the web as it has been a source of informaiton for countless people across the world. As the Guardian has quoted members of bahamasissues.com before and probably used the site for leads into new stories, unilaterally removing web content from nassauguardian.com is viewed as a petty action that can only yield a negative blowback from the web community at large.

It isn't as if the entire paper is posted online, so those that need other information (obits/classifieds/etc) must purchase a physical paper anyway.

Again, I ask that you reconsider this decision to remove the news web content from nassauguardian.com.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best,

As an alternative, the Nassau Guardian can consider posting the entire paper online for a fee, i.e. subscription-based, which would broaden their reader base, as well as attract additional revenue for online operations.

Again, I ask that you reconsider this decision to remove the news web content from nassauguardian.com.

Thank you for your consideration.

tried to access it today and was given the same message.. Okay, time out, if this is in fact true, I will reserve my comments, I am giving the Nassau Guardian the benefit of the doubt that they are having technical difficulties.

Just not difficult enough to prevent them from giving us a nice "Go buy the paper" message?! LOL. One can only hope, I suppose...

I don't consider pdf-ing (yes, I'm making that a word) online content.

I think Mr. Carron knows that the 'the' should be in front of his webpage.

Anyways, the email is already sent.

Seems like the Nassau Guardian has rescinded somewhat. They now have updated the headlines and have include parts of the news article. After a few paragraphs, the reader is directed to * See complete story in today's edition of The Nassau Guardian
