View Full Version : The Nassau Guardian Gone Funky
~*Lovely*~ 07-15-08, - 12:42 PM I hope that you all are correcting the website in your letters!
I'd like to know how people are supposed to know how to contact people at the NG via email. What if I want to send a letter to the editor? How do I know where to send it, assuming I am out of the country?
What is the purpose of the website now? They're not even posting the news from the day before.
androsann 07-15-08, - 12:47 PM Has anyone actually had a reply to the emails they sent? I know I haven't!

The PDF has been updated. I was able to read all the articles. They seemed to be complete articles. Hey, maybe those e-mails were seen by someone who saw the error of their ways!:cutie:

Not only that, the national news section now has the full stories.
Thank you to whoever at the Guardian changed their minds and listened to the people :)
The Point 07-16-08, - 12:31 AM The Journal down here in Exuma was free for a while, but that is because they were trying to build a market. Same for the online Journal. There is no reason for the Guardian to be online, save as a subscription service. The Tribune is not online because they have a loyal market already. Why give away something that people are willing to pay for? These newspapers are there to make money, not because they have nothing better to do, after all...
Absolutely!!! Businesses exist to make a PROFIT... ching, ching..eh?:cutie:
pharoah 07-16-08, - 07:59 AM Kudos to the Nassau Guardian for the change of heart.
It is a paper i know i will continue to buy and promote. I was not aware that they had stop posting the news articles.
I have purchase, the Nassau guardian just about everyday for the last ten years and was about to stop when i read that they was getting so mean as to stop informing the many Bahamians that are out of the country, who relied on the guardian for information on what's happening at home.
They were in effect cutting of their nose to spoil their face. But it has again earn my respect by acting quickly to remedy the situation. I will continue to buy and promote the Nassau guardian as the most civic minded paper in the Bahamas. Thanks again.

Steups. So did you vote against the 2002 referendum because others did not understand like some of my family?

Lol. No, i voted for the changes because i understood them. Just the opposite of your family. But one should not knock what one don't understand. That's all i will say with that.

I will not pursue this any further other than to say voting against the referendum would have been consistent with your statements about the online Guardian, but that is just me being uptight, again.
