Good Day,

Bus drivers are now asking the government to charge riders $2.00 to ride the bus. For those who ride the bus would you pay the $2.00 charge.

With gas prices as high as there are no wonder why poeple are buying our fuel pills, but if you know of any other way to put gas prices down please let us know. Or do you think its fair to charge majority of minimum wage workers $2.00 to ride the bus?

Are you concerned about the cost of bus fare or are you advertising your pill.

Actually we are more concerned about the cost of the fuel (cost increase for bus riders) and finding a new way to bring gas prices lower... if we were concern about the pill we would tell you how it worked and so forth, but when it comes down to it some people have to catch 3 buses to get to work and if there were a way to put gas prices down we would seriuosly like to know.

3 buses to work would be $6.00 then 3 buses back would be another $6 dollars. Minimum wagers usually work 6 days a week. So imagine making $150 per week and and paying $12 x 6 days so thats 150 - 72 which leaves us with $78 dollars per week. How is one to survive? Being realistic. so anyway to bring gas down would be helpful.

2 dollars is little money to pay to ride the bus in nassau. Maybe folks could walk part of the distance seeing that Nassau is only 7 X 21 and most of the work places are concentrated in the middle of the island.

Clearly you are not making minimum wage. we would assume (no offense). But for those who ride the bus. even if it was a 5 day work week they would pay $50 per week and only make $100 per week. Now imagine food rent, and so forth. So we will have to disagree that 2 dollars is a little bit of money to ride the bus for those who have to take it 4 times to 6 times per day (back and forth)

Why should the bus operators be concerned about how much you earn? Are the lawyers, doctors and realtors studying this? The car salespeople? You'll really too jokey...

well unlike lawyers and doctors, realtors... they dont have $150.00 per week people walking into their offices and they know it the government is suppose to help the small man and it just so happens the small man uses the busing system. its like when they put price control on basic needs clearly the government is caring for the minimum wagers and this is something they should care about.

Well, like I said before, if the government want people to ride free, they need to form a company, buy the buses, hire the drivers, the mechanics, etc, and let freedom ride...but stay out of the private people business....while they at it, they need to open a grocery store and sell cheap groceries...

I use the bus as my primary mode of transportation, and I am not happy about the double increase. Its not like they are ging to improve the quality of service, expand the routes, or have the buses run later. I live in the South, and I have to walk 20 minutes to get to a bus stop because the routes do not extend that far. Its like you are paying more for the same crappy service. The public transportation in this country sucks to high heavens. I was on a bus today, and the driver was playing one load of filthy uncensored music, driving like a bat out of hell, and getting mad at elderly folk who were slowed down by age. Its disgusting the way some of the bus drivers carry on and operate on the road. If they improve the srvice, extend the routes, and enforce stiffer penalties for unruly drivers, I would agree to the increase in fare. But as the public bus system as it is now, no.

If the public transportation system was under one umbrella organization, it would be alot easier to weed out the bad apples, and give the public the kind of service that they deserve.
