My conolences to the family of Oswald Porter in Freeport on his passing. I noticed his funeral was this past weekend. On one of the photos in the Freeport News, it shows the family all wearing shades.....was up with that?

That was a pretty dumb question.... did it ever occur to you that maybe they were crying so much that it required them to wear the shades???

Is this person serious? I mean, really?
WOW.
I guess he/she hasn't been to much funerals to know that it is customary to wear shades, to hide your eyes.

Shades are not an unusual sight at a funeral. Some people simply use them because they are embarrassed to have other people see them crying - yet we all understand their grief.
I have conducted a few funerals in my time. Shades were worn at all of them.

Don't hate on Bahman7. I don't go to funerals as a rule, (unless absolutely necessary; the last funeral I went to was in 2006), and I didn't know about the shades thing either.

Das all it is....ain really a fashion ting except fa da occasional couple youts dem dat jus wan be seen in dey "Oakes" n ting. Fa da most part people wear them to help conceal their grief and tears. Its understood but not required n certainly not taboo.
