Would it be a problem that the concept of resurrection came form Jewish tradition? The idea of resurrection was common in Egyptian religions. It is common in many others as well. After all, what is reincarnation but a resurrection - of a kind? Christianity did not “invent” it. It adopted it. :)

It is regrettable that Christians believe that everything spiritual began with Christ. There was no goodness, mercy, love - even God before them. The truth is that all of that was there, long time. Everything that is in Christianity was there before - everything from the resurrection to the Son of God.
The Christian faith is the “new kid” on the block. It has been remarkably successful but then so have others, in their time. It too will pass way to be replaced by something else - that is what happens in religions.
I would say believe in Christ. It can be a good way to contact with the spiritual but don't over sell it.

Naw Islam is the new kid on the block, unless one considers rasta-4-i a faith. rather than a way of life. Islam was conceived in the 6th century while rasta-4-i at the dawn of the 20th century
