if he had simply go and knew he wasnt innocent then he wouldve been questioned and released. .
Surely you jest....

if he was beat up in the process then go to the complaints unit. its simple protocol in situations like that.

Why?.....are you not tired of hearing Hulan Hanna recite that same old prepared speech about how the police take these things seriously and will vigorously investigate the matter and take whatever disciplinary actions they deem necessary?

why take the law in your own hands when it suits you.
Is this question for us or for the Police Officers?......

but for his stupidity in resisting arrest he couldve potentially brought on real case of resisting arrest against him. if it got really violent then he couldve added assualt on an officer to it. the man admitted on national news that he fought the police. is that not confession enough?
Most people (including Police) would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6

QUOTE=bahama_rudest;298549]
be reminded when you condone such actions you encourage the youths to follow the same direction.
An just what example is the Police....those is authority....setting?

QUOTE=bahama_rudest;298549]
no wonder you hav even primary schoolers calling the police "pigs" and "babylon". there is hardly any support for the police but yet people cry and say the police ain doin their job when a crime is committed against them. what encouragement do they have when they kno they try to help someone to only have people like yall bringing their integrity down.
Well.....I say they should deal with those that are committing these acts that have made some if us untrusting of them.....

what gets me is..... if they do such a "great" job policing us.....then why can't they deal with the officers that are commonly referred to as "bad apples"....their "detecting skills" don't extend to the police force huh?....

and lemme put it in laymen's terms.....if you gat a brudder...what like fight...and always causing you to get in fights when you go out.....you ga tell EVERYONE stop fighting you for your brother or you ga tell your brother stop doing Sh**?......

You tell me......

It sure gives me the impression that 'SOME' in the force abuse their powers. and unfortunately that's all we'll get.....the impression......

I feel that part of the problem with the lack of confidence in the Police Force rests with the fact that we don't know whether or not these officers that commit such offences are actually disciplined and HOW!!....

we are merely told to "trust" the SAME people that hurt us and believe they have been dealt with in a way that will reduce the likelihood of the event occurring again........riiiiiiiight.... it keeps on happening so I think NOT!!....

kinda reminds me of these poeple who are out on bail....

It's like the Police Officers in this country can not be judged by their actions. Something is not right with that situation and a thorough investigation should be done by an external source. It is situtations like that which cause the Bahamian people to have a distrust for the Police. I wish that the family would not let that die and force the Commissioner of Police to properly address the situation.

oh....and lest we be blinded........

paying out OUR money to the victims of police brutality under the condition that the terms of the settlement cannot be discussed IS NOT the proper way of addressing the matter.....

wonder whose budget that comes out of......if its the Police Force's budget, then it's no wonder they don't have enough money to buy every officer a vest....so they put "good" officers in harms way.....indirectly...

see the trickle down effect?...

oh....you thought this was someone else's money being paid out?......

Wake up people......
