View Full Version : Manning Bahamian waters with vigilance!
Tafadhali 03-27-05, - 10:05 PM Its so important that Bahamians come together to combat this festering issues of roguish illegals because it will affect us forever and a day. A friend of mine posed the scenario to me that America was so concerned about alll the drug smuggling and that they managed to catch many of the drug running boats but how could on all their radars and expensive equipment not catch or see the haitian sloops with 500 people on board holding on for dear life passing through Inagua.
Why you ask, because its not America's concern and they dont care about OUR illegal immigration problem. They always manage to catch most of the few Haitians making their way to Florida but hardly ever see the boats on the way through Inagua. Do you think its mere coincidence? Something to ponder seriously.
Wake up Bahamas!
canewry 03-28-05, - 09:48 AM Well, there is definately a need to modernize Inagua. It is a need to make Inagua, the Bahamas' 4th city. Inagua, is definately our first line of defense against illegal immigrations.

Bahamians the signs are in our face, Uncle Sam does not care and our government is where you put me. So we will have to watch with disdain as these illegal predators of our stability coup d'etat our Bahamas.

I imagine so will theirs. But no one should incite voilence. I hope this situation does not get to that point.

Whats this machete talk, hopefully and I'm sure violence will not be the answer. There are too many smart persons in this country, the US and Haiti for something to escalate into violence.
The US definitely has power to help bring peace to Haiti. The UN is already there but the US has the man power, the brains and the equipment to get it done. I guess that the administration feels no need to, but since the US feel the need to intefere with other countries with not that much interest in them, I would assume they would help stabilize a country not too far from them. And a country that many blame them for making worse.

Where did all this violence talk come from? Why I started the thread was to show that Bahamians have to be the sowers of our own destiny noone else will do it but us. Did anyone read the initial posting?

Now I hope you do not suppose that we piggy back on America all the way to the runway? We are an independent and sovereign nation and we must show that we are capable of running our affairs. Use your voice effectively, you say you got one, so use it, don’t waist it blabbering nursery rhymes. So, then as to how to do what you suggested begin by outlining a few ideas and submit them, that is becoming an effective voice. Why are you blaming America for our simple a simple little problem that we can pacify on our own if only we conduct the proper studies and apply decisive action.
